The last few years I made a lot of 3d anatomy models, most of which weren’t available for a larger public. And that’s a pity. So this poster of the intestines of the brown rat (male) is the first of a series. For now I only added the names of the organs, but I am planning on additional posters that have more information. The first series will cover all of the anatomy of the rat, but I’m working on more animals. I also still have a nice octopus laying around. Price range: 12,34. 8211; 31,70.

I don’t generally enjoy discussing politics but I need to say something today. I woke up this morning at 5:30am, confirmed the news, and spent the next half hour trying to get ready for work with tears streaming down my face. My big work goals for 2016 were to read more papers, look at and submit to conferences, and attend the extra monthly orthopaedics and spine lectures. Amazingly, I actually managed to accomplish all of these goals, through a mix of natural progression and focused attention. This is a bit random, but…. Turns out a bit more mileage does actually make one faster! I still remember the four mile run in the park back in Grad School City with MountainMan during which he told me he thought I’d eventually be able to recover from my persistent foot injury and work my way back up to 35 mile weeks. At the time this seemed nearly impossible, but his confident talk gave me hope. That put me at an average of 7:05 for two miles further than four weeks ago, a pretty big jump and a huge ment...
