Suds and Smokes: September 2011
http://sudsandsmokes.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 22, 2011. Our Founding Fathers brewed their own beer. Mobsters brewed beer during prohibition times, and monks have been brewing beer for centuries. The ancient Egyptians brewed beer for sustenance (the main reason I drink it of course), and as a way to preserve their grains. During war times Germany would keep brewing beer to make sure the populace was content and did not suspect anything was out of the ordinary (even though food and grain were scarce). Suds and Smokes: July 2011
http://sudsandsmokes.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 22, 2011. I have discovered the most phenomenal LIGHT BEER. That has ever existed! Out of New Orleans has a few decent beers. The one of highlight however is the Jazz Amber Light. My first thought on this beer was that it was going to be another "diet" beer for the poor saps who think that matters. I was quickly corrected. It IS. Despite the never-ending snobtastic reviews from the multiple beer reviewing websites, I gave this one a try and am quite pleased. Saturday, July 9, 2011. Subscribe...

Suds and Smokes: March 2011
http://sudsandsmokes.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 30, 2011. I mentioned I would revisit the world of sake. Sake is an interesting beverage, brewed to perfection using Rice, Yeast, Koji Spores, Citric Acid and of course Water! Although the brewing process of sake is compared to that of brewing beer, there are a few differences that need note. While brewing beer, one must convert the starches to sugars, then allow the yeast to sit on the sugars to create alcohol. In making sake however, this is all done at once. While you are at it, might...

Thursday, June 30, 2011. The Horrifying Tales of Doc Hops. Thursday, June 30, 2:41PM:. Upon entering my residence I notice immediately the sudden weighing down of my body. There is an acrid energy about and it fills my heart with dread. Being the brave one I continue on to search for what could be causing this upset in the natural order of things. Giddy as a school girl I run in and start gathering bottles of beer from the beer bushes and chugging them down one by one. The taste is like ambrosia to t...
