Toast and Nutella: I've moved to Kaya on Brioche!
http://toastandnutella.blogspot.com/2015/01/ive-moved-to-kaya-on-brioche.html
I've moved to Kaya on Brioche! This past year, I had no idea what direction this blog was taking. I posted photography, study abroad experiences and personal musings sporadically. I felt like I was growing out of it and was losing interest. So over break, I decided to stop this blog and move on to another one. I will now be writing on Kaya on Brioche. And find it helpful! Sunday, January 11, 2015. I am following you at Kaya on Brioche. I will however miss Toast and Nutella! Love you loads, Mother.

Toast and Nutella: Attention à la marche en descendant du train
http://toastandnutella.blogspot.com/2012/11/attention-la-marche-en-descendant-du.html
Attention à la marche en descendant du train. This may be quite odd, but I actually enjoy taking the last metro home. There are a lot of interesting people on the metro at 2am. Not only that, but I enjoy it because it is one of the few moments and places that Paris drops all pretension. Once time after class, and I could feel judgment with each bite. And the really drunk people on the metro started singing along. Monday, November 26, 2012. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Where was that again?

Toast and Nutella: That edginess has always made me feel alive
http://toastandnutella.blogspot.com/2013/06/that-edginess-has-always-made-me-feel.html
That edginess has always made me feel alive. Just ask me a question like that out of nowhere. And I'll appear foolish. So it keeps me on edge. But really, that edginess has always made me feel alive.". On living in Paris. Why do you live in Paris? On first moving to Paris. On returning to the US after living in Paris. Because white people aren't afraid of you here. And at the same time, they don't hate you, because that sort of goes together. So I'll take it. I'll wait on line. Now I don'...Subscribe to:...

Toast and Nutella: The el and me
http://toastandnutella.blogspot.com/2012/06/el-and-i.html
The el and me. I had a realization today. I hate the el. A year ago, it was exciting. The idea was so great. But now the honeymoon period is over, but I have learned something valuable. Let me better explain myself. Let me take you through the relationship between the el and me. Place yourself in my shoes for a moment. And then you realize that sometimes the el will decide to stop for 10 minutes just for fun when you are already late to work. Sometimes it will not go north past Fullerton because of a fir...

Toast and Nutella: I guess I'll have to learn to love shrimp now
http://toastandnutella.blogspot.com/2014/08/i-guess-ill-have-to-learn-to-love.html
I guess I'll have to learn to love shrimp now. A few months ago, I wrote this post. I have a lot of goals for myself for the coming months, one of which is to write. To write on this blog, to write creatively, to write privately and to write to friends and family. I’m hoping to visit all these coffee shops. Sit down with kopi and write everything I’m seeing and learning. While I am not a fan of Ted Hughes (because of his moral choices not his writing), I can’t help but love. Tuesday, August 05, 2014.

Toast and Nutella: Curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight
http://toastandnutella.blogspot.com/2014/07/curiosity-wonder-spontaneous-delight.html
Curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight. We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us. Something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight. Or any experience that reveals the human spirit. Photo by rose and crown. Monday, July 14, 2014.
