Quiltingismytherapy's Blog

Just another WordPress.com weblog. May 29, 2012. Ditto by Jaybird Quilts. Middot; 8 Comments. Julie, aka Jaybird Quilts. And I have a running bet. I bet her last year that she couldn’t wear me out. That I could handle as many quilts as she threw my way….and this quilt market, she tried. I quilted a bunch of quilts for her booth, and she nearly beat me….I nearly couldn’t keep up with her. But I prevailed and am happy and slightly worn out! Photo by: Julie Herman. V and Co) new fabric line, Simply Color.

Coloring Outside the Lines

Coloring Outside the Lines. Two baby quilts finished. August 12, 2015 by KrisR. Two new family members are scheduled to arrive later this year. I’m ready. The batik one is made from left over log cabin blocks plus the scrap vortex blocks made using a *free* tutorial by CrazyMomQuilts. As you can see, I quilted it with FMQ swirls. Love that pattern almost as much as I love pebbles. The blue one is a pattern by Bonnie Hunter called Dancing Nine Patch. Anyway, it’s very traditional, isn’t it? Speaking of Cr...

Quilting Is My Yoga

Quilting Is My Yoga. Musings of a crafty quilter. Quilty things I’ve been up to…. I’ve begun this Technicolor Galaxy Quilt today and am looking forward to some skill building fun! Another bit of news here is my Summer Beach Bag which is in the Summer/Spring issue of Fresh Quilts…. This is a fun and very do able basic bag pattern using all your scraps from your stash, it was exciting seeing it in print! So these wheels are awaiting for me! Hope you are all enjoying quilting and Spring! The area under the ...

Quilting It

Monday, September 12, 2016. Susan's "Swoon 16" quilt! Susan made this fun "Swoon 16" quilt, pattern by Camille Roskelley. And made with Bonnie and Camille "Daysail" fabrics. I've quilted a few other swoon quilts similar to this, but this one is a 16" block.which is my most favorite size to quilt, so the rulers I used to quilt it are a different size. I wish I had better light for pictures. Fun for me to see the design as a whole. I love how it looks with the curved lines in the sashing. I drew out this g...

Jane madly quilting

Words and pictures of my quilting life. Friday, June 12, 2015. I have many projects on the go, some slow and some really wanting to be finished soon. Sadly lacking time most weeks, and of course the neck problems of a machine quilter slow me down. A new but old project, my night group is having a Log Cabin quilt challenge, I have not started for several reasons- no energy, no time, lacking enthusiasm! But I found these old blocks- circa 1990 and decided that they could be joined to make the centre block.
