Thursday, August 30, 2012. Last post from China! At 7:25 this morning it was silent and everyone was sound asleep. I heard a sweet little voice awaken me saying. "Momma? I sat up and said, "Gracie! Then I swooped that sweet baby up out of her crib and gave her lots and lots of kisses and she giggled! What a way to wake up! We miss you people! Please pray with us that our flights will not be delayed because of the hurricane. In Chicago, if they have a drop of rain, they delay flights! We will be leaving o...

I'm sure it's been said once, twice, or a million times by now, but we have never played in the sprinkler during spring break! Or played in the pool without freezing! So here is Maxwell, always trying to please. And here is Maxwell trying to get Elliott to appease us.

Our adoption process starting from the very beginning. Thursday, March 1, 2012. We are thrilled to say that we have PA and can officially share pictures of our beautiful little girl, Ella Grace Bailey "Gracie"! Needless to say, I was ecstatic when I got a phone call from our social worker telling me that we could share her picture. I was expecting it to take a couple of weeks, not a couple of days. Maybe this means all the other steps will go quickly;-). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Are you a Lion?

Ellie, age 5.

Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Encouragement for the week ahead. Here is an encouraging excerpt from Ann Voskamp's blog post this week:. No one knows but you do war every single day with the slanderous voices in your head. And you wrestle a bit with the death dark that encroaches around the edges of everything and you’re never the only one: anyone who gets up has to push back the dark. I’m standing there in front of the mirror. That’s what this week needs, that’s all this week needs most:. I have grown t...
