Adventures in Perl: Interfacing Perl with C++, using XS, with external files, and using the STL as parameters and return values.

http://adventures-in-perl.blogspot.com/2010/08/interfacing-perl-with-c-external-files.html

Interfacing Perl with C , using XS, with external. View my complete profile. Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Interfacing Perl with C , using XS, with external files, and using the STL as parameters and return values. Disclaimer: This isn't a book review ;-), but I figured I'd make a few comments on this book I paid $44.99 for, since it's directly applicable to my problem. Thus begun my internet search. Then I hit the chatterbox. tye of course was online, being the helpful guy he is held an amazing amount ...

Adventures in Perl: Ironman Fail!

http://adventures-in-perl.blogspot.com/2010/05/ironman-fail.html

View my complete profile. Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Yeah, the ironman thing was a post a week. I haven't posted in nearly a year. I suck. Since my last post, I have changed jobs, moved to Chicago, and I wrote my own templating system (don't cheer all at once ;-) . ). Anyway, it's called Ravenel. It's a weird hybrid between a bunch of different templating systems I've used over the years, and I honestly really like what I've made. I'll post some more in depth examples here real soon. Adventures in Perl: July 2009

If this isnt an adventure, Im not sure what is. View my complete profile. Friday, July 3, 2009. If this isn't an adventure, I'm not sure what is. I named this blog "adventures in perl" because of the work that I do, being in Perl, and the fact that it's fairly zany stuff compared to my previous work experience. Here we go. We had a hook on our script that allowed us to signal it to copy files in proc back to the file system, after we had cleaned up the lzma files that were already there. The best par...

Adventures in Perl: September 2010

http://adventures-in-perl.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

View my complete profile. Tuesday, September 7, 2010. 1 I almost wish subroutines required the use of the ampersand sigil. I hate looking at barewords in Perl, and much prefer things to have punctuation in front so the editor picks it up with a specified color. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

ADVENTURES IN NATURE

Tuesday, August 7, 2012. I visited the beautiful BALCONES CANYONLAND NWR this week and wanted to share my experience with all of you faithful Blog friends! The BCNWR is part of our national parks system and located in the far upper NW quadrant of the Lake Travis area, on the outskirts of Austin, Texas. Which I was thankful for because I am sure I would not have been able to identify them through looks alone. I am fairly certain I heard those little flitty birds calling to each other the whole time I ...

Adventures in Point and Shoot. Sunday, August 29, 2010. I've been posting over at Posterous. Follow the link. Posted by William at 5:23 PM. Thursday, April 02, 2009. Before I got any closeups I was able to get this picture of Katelyn in a good pose as she was dancing. It can be difficult to isolate one dancer from among several on the stage at the same time. It takes tracking with the camera for the correct composition and then getting your shot, not unlike trying to catch birds in flight. I love being o...

Adventures in prayer | Learning to pray in a distracting world

Learning to pray in a distracting world. A motivation for prayer. August 9, 2015. I would like to write that the reason no new posts have appeared for awhile is because I’ve been far too busy. Adventures in prayer to write about them. While that might sound quite pious and spiritual, it isn’t exactly true. The truth is that I’m finding it difficult to articulate those things that I have wanted to express on this blog. I’m writing this from the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. July 2, 2015.
