Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults (CAP/DA). Is a special Medicaid program that can provide a range of services not covered in the regular Medicaid program of North Carolina. Can provide in-home and community-based care for adult Medicaid recipients. The goal is to offer a quality, cost effective alternative to intermediate and skilled care in nursing homes.
