Rocket Sulphur: More Progress
http://rocketsulphur.blogspot.com/2013/01/more-progress.html
Navigating through life with two 1973 Volkswagens. Tuesday, January 8, 2013. On the days it's warm enough, we've been putting in some extra work on the Beetle:. New tail lights are in! We sprayed down the floor with rust treatment and spray-on truck bed liner. It looks pretty nice! It'll take a few days to dry, then we can finally get the seats back in! Eventually we'll have to replace at least one of the floor pans, but for now, this should keep the rust from getting worse. View my complete profile.

Rocket Sulphur: New Neighbors
http://rocketsulphur.blogspot.com/2012/09/new-neighbors.html
Navigating through life with two 1973 Volkswagens. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. We have a new air-cooled friend across the street! We actually met the new neighbors a month or so ago at a local VW Club meet-up. They recognized Greta from when they had visited the house prior to purchasing.I guess seeing our VWs parked across the street was an added selling point! They have some pretty cool adventures planned, so check it out! They call her Sugar Magnolia, in honor of the Greatful Dead song. Http:/ travelsinsugar.blogspot.com/. Navigating through life with two 1973 Volkswagens. Thursday, September 13, 2012. Out for a Thursday Drive. We seem to have gotten into the habit of taking drives with Greta on Thursday evenings. Tonight, we drove through a section of Gold Camp Road:. September 14, 2012 at 8:48 PM. I really like those pics with the headlights through the tunnel. Very Cool! September 15, 2012 at 5:28 PM. September 22, 2012 at 4:50 PM. It almost looks like the tunnel is on fire, very cool. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Rocket Sulphur: Back to Life
http://rocketsulphur.blogspot.com/2012/12/back-to-life.html
Navigating through life with two 1973 Volkswagens. Saturday, December 8, 2012. We got a new battery, a few hoses, clamps, and wires for the beetle. We still need a few more things before we are road-worthy - the tail lights need to be hooked up, and the seats need to be put back in - but we've made progress! We've missed the hum of the Bee! I had to take a quick video to commemorate the occasion. And yes, we know it needs a valve adjustment. ;). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Rocket Sulphur: Almost Done
http://rocketsulphur.blogspot.com/2013/02/almost-done.html
Navigating through life with two 1973 Volkswagens. Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Winter weather without a garage means slow progress for the Bee, but it's almost done! The interior is mostly back in, with the exception of the driver's seat. Our original "wedding bug" it came with the wood paneling.we decided to keep it, at least for now. We're looking for decently-priced seat covers. The rear seat is in place. September 13, 2014 at 5:22 PM. Hey my bug looks just like that! Look forward to more! About to pul...

Rocket Sulphur: The Bee
http://rocketsulphur.blogspot.com/p/bee.html
Navigating through life with two 1973 Volkswagens. The Bee is a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle. Prior to our wedding in September 2010, we started looking for a small vehicle to use as our get-away car. The restoration of The Bee is still in progress. The bright yellow color is what gave The Bee its name. Eventually we plan to redo the exterior paint in yellow and black to complete the transformation. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 1973 One Beetle. One Bus. One crazy couple. One big money pit. Rocket Sulphur: Anniversary 2012
http://rocketsulphur.blogspot.com/2012/09/anniversary-2012.html
Navigating through life with two 1973 Volkswagens. Monday, September 3, 2012. I love that we got married on Labor Day weekend. It's been great having an extra day to celebrate each year! This year, of course, we had to go camping with Greta. We went back to the Buena Vista area since it's a fairly short drive and we love the campsites. We left town as soon as I got home from work Friday. It was so nice to head west out of town! We were able to get our favorite spot at Brown's Creek. A sight for sore.

Rocket Sulphur: Greta
http://rocketsulphur.blogspot.com/p/greta.html
Navigating through life with two 1973 Volkswagens. Greta is a 1973 Volkswagen bay window campervan. We chose the name Greta because it means "pearl" in German. We plan on keeping her exterior white, so she'll always be a little pearl. We purchased Greta in December 2011 and began the restoration process almost immediately. Although she looked a little rough when we first got her, she has been full of good surprises. Greta was part of our history before we even knew it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Awesome...
