Much Ado About Nothing: June 2009
http://msfzx.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Much Ado About Nothing. Just in case you care what I'm up to. Monday, June 22, 2009. What an amazing experience! It started months ago with "Hmmm, can I actually do 100 miles on the mountain bike? Could I work thorough the suffering? Would my body shut down? Would I start hallucinating? Would I embarrass myself? I really had no idea if it would take me 10 or 13 hours. We started out at my least favorite time of day: early morning. I was half asleep. Would I get caught up in it? The first hill about a qua...

Much Ado About Nothing. Just in case you care what I'm up to. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Well, my computer took a long time to fix and in that several week period my online socializing morphed more into Facebook. I'm not sure if I'll post here anymore. Facebook uploads pictures easier and is rather convenient for many reasons. BTW, the screen was very easy to replace. The hassle of finding the right part number was the most difficult part. Steve Kinley: August 2010
http://stevekinley.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 29, 2010. Today was the last race of the Tailwind USAC MTB series at Stony Creek but I elected not to race. Instead, I set up a tent to hand out literature and talk about MICA. Our first race is in two weeks and I was trying to drum up interest in the organization. At the start I noticed that some of the DCD kids seemed both shocked and excited to see another team represented. Most of the Clarkston kids were wearing their new jerseys that also sported the MICA logo. Sunday, August 22, 2010.

Steve Kinley: June 2010
http://stevekinley.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 20, 2010. I haven't been updating as much as I should, I guess I have other things going on so i don't really bother. Some of the highlights of the past week:. I did some longer rides this week to get some time in the saddle but kept the effort fairly light. Today's ride was over 50 mile and my back didn't really seem to protest too much. But if it was a harder ride or race I think it would have been screaming. Sandy and I have decided that for the time being things haven't worked out for he...

Steve Kinley: January 2010
http://stevekinley.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 30, 2010. Too short a visit. It was amazing the how fast the two kids had grown just in the month since we had last seen them. It was fun playing with them and almost watching them develop before our eyes. I'm sure the next time we see them they will have really grown. Hopefully we can get out to Spokane this summer after Emily has their next child. Their flights were on time and they arrived at home safe and sound although their two car seats that had been checked didn't seem to make t...

Steve Kinley: July 2010
http://stevekinley.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 18, 2010. A horse of a different color. For the past week I have switched my riding from the trails to the road. I borrowed the bike pictured above from my great Cannondale rep, Jason Edinger, in preparation for the Senior Olympics coming up in a few days. More on the races later in the post. I first heard about the Senior Olympics last year but the cutoff for entering was past. I made it a point to mark my calendar for this year. The bike races are road only, both time trials and re...The f...
