We arrived at lunchtime, and it was baking hot. We soon got underground to cool off, on a 2 hour, 1.6km guided walk through a series of amazing caverns with incredible limestone formations. Great to see Ed enjoying himself (and both of you of course). Your blog has reached the Barclays and MoD team in Strides now as I moved last week. Those sitting closest to me get to see it most days. I spent this morning in awe at the pictures you have taken. Amazing picture of the two dolphins. Looking forward to the next bit. Hi Rachel and Alex,.

Around the World in 56 Days. Alex and Rachel's travel blog Feb-Apr 2007. Sunday, March 18, 2007. The crossing in the end was flat and fine, despite the rain and wind. In a weird twist the boat was called Kaitaki, but previously was the Pride of Cherbourg, which would have done the daily crossing to Portsmouth. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Around the World in 56 Days. Alex and Rachel's travel blog Feb-Apr 2007. Sunday, March 25, 2007. This town is famous for being in the middle of a large geothermal area - clouds of steam rise up from the ground in the most random places. There is also a destinctive smell that lingers in the air - rotten eggs is a nice description. Generally it is bearable though. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). See larger map at bottom of screen. Around the World in 56 Days. Alex and Rachel's travel blog Feb-Apr 2007. Friday, March 16, 2007. Overall the walk was good, but having done the Routeburn with all its variation and views, its hard for other walks to measure up. We had a hot day today, and only sustained a couple more sandfly bites. Hello greetings from Aus! I have just managed to find some time to finally re aquaint myself with your blog. Wow! I thought that I was being thorough, but you both put me to shame. Keep up the good work!

Around the World in 56 Days. Alex and Rachel's travel blog Feb-Apr 2007. Tuesday, March 20, 2007. The Grape Escape - Napier. Someone at Strides - tell Mark from Domus or Jeremy at Allgoods that the Bristol wine tasting came in handy. Am looking forward to some more pict...
