Thursday, September 6, 2012. I have been sick for a week now so I wasn't feeling 100% well but I still enjoyed running the now familiar White Rock trail. I placed 10th overall (female) and 3rd on my age group. I was 25 sec slower than last year so I felt slightly disappointed. This is what the island looked like at 7:30am. Sunday, April 8, 2012. I made these football-shaped Rice Krispie treats for Ryan's birthday. I didn't get to try them but Darren liked them. I found the recipe on one of my books called "Meals on the go". I forgot to take pictures as I made them but they are not that complicated so here we go:. Makes about 20 small footballs. 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (I prefer milk chocolate). 1/2 cup light corn syrup. 1/4 cup butter or margarine. 7 cups Rice Krispie cereal. 5 Decorate with icing. Sunday, August 17, 2014. At the end of July my niece Nikki came to visit on her first "solo" adventure. She's 11 years old and not afraid of anything! She flew from Illinois all the way here and we were so happy to have her for a short week. Here are some highlights of her stay:. Trying fry sauce for the first time! Rocking the cool black hat. Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Welcome to 4th Grade! Well, here we go again. It's the start of a new school year.They seem to go faster and faster as we approach Junior High. Does anyone know how to slow down time? I love having Darren at home, he keeps me company and makes me smile (drives me crazy too sometimes) but I feel a lot of peace when he's around and I know he's safe. Friday, October 10, 2008. Darren's new favorite thing is to play mini-golf. He has a fantastic sweeping technique that usually puts him at 14 over par on each hole but who is counting? At least we know we are not. He has gotten a lot better and has started the last few times actually hitting the ball (as apposed to sweeping it) into the hole. We have played Eagle Lake (Roy), Swan Lake (Layton), Fat Cats (Ogden), and Toad's (North Ogden). Or "Way to go Daniel Roger! Yes that is really my middle name).
