An Inch of Time: Resolutions
http://aninchoftime.blogspot.com/2014/01/resolutions_8.html
Wednesday, January 8, 2014. In the run-up to New Year's Day it occurred to me I hadn't heard much, if anything, about New Year's resolutions. Are they passé? Do they not matter since they have a built-in/guaranteed failure rate? I'm not looking for an answer merely musing. Keep Calm and Be Patient. Keep Calm and Carry On. Keep Calm and Be a Quaker. Keep Calm and Ring Carson for Tea. An obvious homage to. While "being calm" is not often an issue for me when the chips are down, the "being patient" is ever ...

Home at Home Again: The Problem with Pigs
http://homeathomeagain.blogspot.com/2011/02/problem-with-pigs.html
Home at Home Again. Home Again is the 160 acres that semi contains our 5 ring family circus. Sunday, February 27, 2011. The Problem with Pigs. Oh, it's a rake he grabbed from their yard as he ran by. He waves the rake, she eventually takes notice, leaves skid marks down the driveway as she turns around and RUNS screaming home. It would have been "wee, wee, wee all the way home" except a pig of that size sounds more like someone suffering from a life ending injury. Right now they are all into hour two of ...

Home at Home Again: Spring for the OhBeWise family
http://homeathomeagain.blogspot.com/2011/04/spring-for-ohbewise-family.html
Home at Home Again. Home Again is the 160 acres that semi contains our 5 ring family circus. Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Spring for the OhBeWise family. Even though it snowed today (again) I'm going to go out on a limb and say that spring is probably going to come.eventually. I have photographic proof. Part of the proof that spring is coming is that I keep forgetting the camera so have to take pictures with the phone. We went on a picnic at Riverside Park in Smithers on Good Friday. Having a FUZZY summer!

Wanted: BRAINS!: December 2012
http://wantedbrains.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
A zombie campaign using Two Hour Wargames' All Things Zombie rules and (mostly) Rebel Minis. Friday, December 28, 2012. A Bit of Christmas Cheer. No, I didn't get oodles of toys for Christmas. Just a few. And none that fit into Wanted: BRAINS! And I already know what the little suckers look like, and how the games turn out, and etc., and etc., so there's really no point in me blogging for myself. Fortunately, I can say, with some measure of success, that I really am blogging for you! You knows that I can...

Home at Home Again: January 2011
http://homeathomeagain.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Home at Home Again. Home Again is the 160 acres that semi contains our 5 ring family circus. Thursday, January 13, 2011. I'm a pet person - and I'm not talking children and spouse here because they are much more than that! I not only have my own, I end up with other people's pets as well. Two years ago the girls. Tango about 2 months old. I hope Josie, Blake and their kids enjoy being his dogsitters as much as we have. Tango 1.5 and Emma 8. When Lynn was here in summer 2009 she took some pictures of thin...

Home at Home Again: Going Green
http://homeathomeagain.blogspot.com/2010/12/going-green.html
Home at Home Again. Home Again is the 160 acres that semi contains our 5 ring family circus. Wednesday, December 29, 2010. For some inexplicable reason I received green. Nailpolish for Christmas. Yes this gift was received from a daughter who believes everyone should wear nailpolish. But green for a non-nailpolisher I ask? Everything fits just right. The kids went to bed at a relatively decent time. The parents? Not so much so. Good time had by all. Christmas Day we went to Grandma and Grandpa Manwaring'...

From the Inside...Out: Don't Look Now
http://www.theinternalmakeover.com/2008/12/dont-look-now.html
Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Interesting to note as your offspring age: Graduating from the protective, padded environment of the back seat to the finally-tall-enough-to-not-get-decapitated-by-the-airbag front passenger seat, they see the road through fresh eyes. I tried explaining the nuances of. Whereas one is peripherally aware of the remains on the highway but one’s eye becomes tastefully unfocused, so as to avoid the ensuing gag and vomit reaction that would undoubtedly follow such a spectacle. From the Inside...Out: Justifiable Misconduct
http://www.theinternalmakeover.com/2009/01/justifiable-misconduct.html
Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Another wicked-weather day here in the northeast. As if in testament to my death-defying ride home last night, may I present the bush outside my front door:. Delightful. Like a big, ‘ole, yummy pine-flavored snow cone…but minus the triangular-shaped cardboard holder, the carnival rides or the sweltering heat that made you want it in the first place. God, I miss summer. Which brings me (seamlessly, I might add) to an article I’d saved from August 4, 2008. And how did I know.

From the Inside...Out: Give 'Em Hell
http://www.theinternalmakeover.com/2012/03/give-em-hell.html
Monday, March 26, 2012. In the dream, I’m having a cocktail. This is precisely why I am unaware that this is a dream…everything seems perfectly normal. Then I happen to glance at a clock. It reads 1:00…and realization dawns. One o’clock? Like, in the afternoon? Don’t I have a JOB? Oh and a KID. Oh, CRAP…did I leave Connor somewhere? I grab my phone and try to dial but the numbers are all jumbled…and WTF is wrong with this freakin’ phone? Increase the volume. Start off low. 8230;and work our way up. On th...
