The one fact that no guild war fan will accept is that guild war is not an MMO. it...

GUILD WARS BLOGG: TROPHIES: PAST AND PRESENT
http://dazhilingwblogg.blogspot.com/2005/11/trophies-past-and-present.html
Saturday, November 05, 2005. TROPHIES: PAST AND PRESENT. What you see in the above picture is a dead Bone Dragon, a smaller version of a Rotscale. Why are they such big trophies? Simply because everyone wants to kill one at least once in their Guild Wars career! And I must say, it creates a havoc when you’re in the middle of a mission and some noob sees a whole bunch of bone dragons in a swamp and runs straight to them! THE ART OF KILLING FLINT. Why would you want to kill your own ally? However, probably...

GUILD WARS BLOGG: GRIEFING
http://dazhilingwblogg.blogspot.com/2005/11/griefing.html
Saturday, November 05, 2005. Searching for fresh blood, I came across a new fan site, The Ten Ton Hammer. I kept hearing the term griefing in MMORPGs in general but until now I did not know what it means, even though I’ve ran into the situations described by griefing. The Ten Ton Hammer happens to have an article on griefing and its effects in Guild Wars. However, they list the 4 main ways to grief in Guild Wars, and the consequences of each on the player community. Here is a summary:. 1) PVP DELAY ON MAP.

Thursday, November 10, 2005. IDENTITY: DEAD OR ALIVE? Let’s consider the End of Identity article and some of its perspectives. MY TAKE ON IT. Definitely not based on expression or emotion. He even asks himself: So is this my daughter’s future? To be reproduced digitially into a prettier, sexier self? Abel, 2005) Furthermore, our notion of identity will no longer be who you are, but how many whos (Abel, 2005). MY TAKE ON IT. Abel, Allen . The End of Identity . McClean’s Magazine, 2005. GUILD WARS BLOGG: RUNES, GLYPHS AND THEIR HIDDEN SECRETS

Thursday, November 03, 2005. RUNES, GLYPHS AND THEIR HIDDEN SECRETS. What do you think could be the most useless thing you could be doing in Guild Wars instead of enjoying the game play and scenery? Not to mention that at the end of each article we are told that they don’t know if AreaNet is doing this on purpose or randomly plastering eye-candy for no reason at all. Here is an author that summarized all these findings. He wrote both the An Ancient Runic Alphabet. And An Ancient Alphabet revisited. If th...

GUILD WARS BLOGG: LEARNING FROM THE MASTER
http://dazhilingwblogg.blogspot.com/2005/11/learning-from-master.html
Saturday, November 05, 2005. LEARNING FROM THE MASTER. Well, last night I was at Augury Rock. And it is an interesting town because you will meet lots of interesting people who are crazy enough to solo in the desert simply for the purpose of farming. I bumped into a tiny girl-like monk with tattoos all over and she decided to teach me a new way to farm. Wow, you can still farm? I thought they nerfed. Her constant routine: Going through the gate, running away from that annoying devourer. Wow, I was so hap...

GUILD WARS BLOGG: FEMALE OPPRESSION OR EMPOWERMENT?
http://dazhilingwblogg.blogspot.com/2005/10/female-oppression-or-empowerment.html
Monday, October 31, 2005. FEMALE OPPRESSION OR EMPOWERMENT? Http:/ www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php? One article on the Guild Wars Vault fan site entitled Digital Ladies. Http:/ forums.gwonline.net/showthread.php? However, I can’t blame those guys that play female characters. I got horribly mad at my boyfriend for even thinking of making a female character and he burst out crying: BUT MALE CHARACTERS ARE SO UGGLY! Not all Guild Wars male characters look odd though, especially once they get thei...

GUILD WARS BLOGG: THE IMPORTANCE OF THE COLLECTIVE
http://dazhilingwblogg.blogspot.com/2005/11/importance-of-collective.html
Friday, November 04, 2005. THE IMPORTANCE OF THE COLLECTIVE. From all the rants I have heard about Guild Wars, about level cap, attribute caps, lack of customization, and so on, I found an author that gave me a different perspective and got me thinking about my own preferences. In the article State of the Game: Reality check. Only great teamwork helps the team achieve a goal or an objective. He describes how building a "super" character build that could take on a group of people in PVP. I find it sometim...

GUILD WARS BLOGG: HALLOWEEN TORTURE!
http://dazhilingwblogg.blogspot.com/2005/10/halloween-torture.html
Monday, October 31, 2005. So I decided to login tonight to take a last look at the Halloween scenery in. I first started chasing a bunch of hellhounds and moa birds wondering why they were in town, until they started speaking to me and saying they've been turned into animals. The moa bird was complaining that everyone was turned into ghouls and ghosts but he/she was turned into a "stupid" moa bird. I certainly didn't mind! Posted by Zhilin at 10:02 PM. It was quite interesting here when the creators of t...

GUILD WARS BLOGG: APOCALYPSE NOW!
http://dazhilingwblogg.blogspot.com/2005/11/apocalypse-now.html
Friday, November 04, 2005. Surfing the Guild Wars OGaming forum, one particular thread and image. Posted one big picture of what to the average person may seem only a glitch in the game but to even the average player may spell only one thing: DOOM! Why is it that in the Guild Wars community this screenshot has more attributed symbolic value than probably any screenshot ever taken in the whole history of Guild Wars? It makes me wonder, what’s really cooking for chapter 2? Posted by Zhilin at 1:06 AM.
