Just today: Blog 3
http://bradforddotson.blogspot.com/2011/02/blog-3.html
Thursday, February 3, 2011. According to the website:. I felt that this tool can be used in a way that would speed most of the curriculum time; to allow more opportunity to respond to feedback and classroom discussion. The discussions would be about what they actually learned in the website. I would suggest that the discussion be separate from the computer, so that the student can now visualize how they can attach what they have learned to a real-life scenario given by the teacher. Technology is surpassi...

Just today: Week 11
http://bradforddotson.blogspot.com/2011/04/week-11.html
Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Gee's principle of probing (p. 54) states that learning is a cycle of probing the world (doing something) and reflecting in and on this action and forming a hypothesis. Select 3 principles you think it would be important for education. If you were creating a simulation for your class, what activity would you support? I would absolutely support the identity principle. Children need and want to create on various different levels. This is truly an extension of their inner e...Stude...

Dusty Dodd: week 6 blog
http://dustydodd.blogspot.com/2011/02/week-6-blog.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. Having technology like a PDA would be very beneficial not only for the teacher but also for the students. Student’s lives are very involved in technology and adding something like this to the classroom will only help better connect the teacher to her students. Having this type of technology in the classroom is only going to help teacher keep the students involved in their education. Jonassen, David H., and David H. Jonassen. Friday, April 22, 2011. Chapters 8 and 9. When and how do teachers act as designers? Select one of the followings and explain what it is and how it can be used in classroom: SketchUp, Trebuchet Simulator, Model Car Design, Scratch, iStopMotion, Impromptu. Explain "Digital Storytelling by Kate Kemker." What do you think it would work in your classroom? Is it possible to learn from TV alone? That is, learn how to do something merely from watching TV instruction? April 22, 2011 at 7:41 PM. I agree with your...

Michael Perry: February 2011

Monday, February 28, 2011. Personal digital assistants are semi-computer aids, that help with users ability to interact with computers. A PDA can be used to help with organization or to pull up references interactively onto a presentation through a central computer. PDA's are generally limited my processing potential and most inherentially by user interphase. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Meaningful Learning and Reflections. Chapters 8 and 9. Chapter 8 and 9. Michael Perry: March 2011

Tuesday, March 8, 2011. In my highschool classroom i feel that presentations over chapters from the book or topic picked for or by students would be the best use of technology in the classroom. This would allow the students to learn and not be as restrictive and intense as typeing of a report or essay. As well as still allowing the use of concept mapping, videos, and other fudamental technology aides. Jonassen, D., Howland, J., Marra, R. M. and Grismond, D. (2008). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
