I love the pina colada freeze! 4 These M&M's seriously taste like carrot cake. To sum it all up,.

Further up, further in, and farther along. Saturday, September 22, 2012. It's a lovely September Saturday night. Typically this would mean one of two things: either hanging out with friends elsewhere or hosting a game/movie night in. However, on this particular evening I admittedly find myself entertaining a party of one, and it has been quite a blessing. With the evening before me, it crossed my mind that one of my favorite radio programs plays only on Saturday nights on MPB! Saturday, September 15, 2012.

After wandering around campus this morning with the "plan" of what my day should be like, He had a different set of circumstances in mind. Intended. To get up early, spend some time in the Word and in prayer, intended. To have time to run to Target and pick up some last minute school supplies, intended.

Further up, further in, and farther along. Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Listen to the music. Oh, we got to let the music play." - The Doobie Brothers. For Christmas this year, I was given a record player. Wassup! It was one of those "didn't really ask for it" but was kind of secretly wanting one, and was extremely surprised Christmas mornin' to discover this beautiful wonder with a big red bow waiting for me. Let down the needle onto the vinyl (as my mother explicitly instructed) after carefully. View my co...

Further up, further in, and farther along. Monday, April 29, 2013. Graduation. It's so freakin' close. After four years of college, somehow it's finally time to walk across the stage for a handshake and a several thousand dollar piece of paper. Today I got an email from my dad. Thinking it was probably some kind of reminder to file paperwork or to get my car checked, I didn't think twice about opening it. What I got instead took me quite by surprise! Further up, further in, and farther along. Thursday, August 30, 2012. God has been teaching me so much lately. After the summer, have been realizing that while at college I clang to the familiar and only pretended to delve into things that were different, only skimmed the surface of relationships that could have been deeper. This year, have been determined not to do that. God has such a creativeness, allowing each of us to express an ego, a self, and to do so in such a way that imperfectly reflects His i...

Further up, further in, and farther along. Friday, November 25, 2011. Be like the fox.". Be like the fox who makes more tracks than necessary, some in the wrong direction. Practice resurrection." Wendell Berry. To hear this quote for the first time is not enough to understand it. You have to hear it more than once for it to really mean something, for it to take root in your mind the way Wendell Berry meant it to. Showed me that my complacency was pushing me to the verge of apathy, the stealthiest sin of ...

Further up, further in, and farther along. Thursday, November 29, 2012. This morning i have an eight o' clock class that i truly enjoy getting up for. Further up, further in, and farther along. Thursday, September 15, 2011. Nature's First Green is Gold.". When do we transition into adulthood? When is it that we walk past the guy in the wheelchair? When do we have too much to do on the weekend, can't afford a spontaneous road trip? When do we lose touch with close friends? When is it that we can walk down the sidewalk on a beautiful September day without being amazed at God's creation? We are the green sprout of life daring to grow among the barren soil.
