A Doubtful Egg: Wexford Sights (XXXIII)
http://adoubtfulegg.blogspot.com/2011/07/wexford-sights-xxxiii.html
Monday, July 11, 2011. I was waiting for a bus and I happened to look at the pavement and I noticed that the experience of looking at the pavement was the same as the experience of looking at a [Mark] Tobey [painting] . the aesthetic enjoyment was just as high." John Cage. I can't say I fully agree with the sentiments expressed in that statement, but the above image, the surface of an old tree, does remind me of an abstract painting. Wonderful DE. It looks like a surreal bird simulacrum/. I am an artist,...

Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Some Thoughts On 'Prometheus'. Made me realise how much I'd rather have been watching that instead.)]. How foolish can one film be? Hmmm, where to begin . At the beginning, I suppose:. 1) Why do the Engineers teach cavemen to draw the location of their bio-weapons storage facility? How did they know that all (or any) of the drawings would be found? And why didn’t they just draw proper maps themselves, complete with coordinates? 4) How precisely do you operate a machine that can ...

It's All Random...Mostly...: 100,000 march against water charges in Dublin.
http://www.itsallrandommostly.com/2014/10/100000-march-against-water-charges-in.html
Monday, October 13, 2014. 100,000 march against water charges in Dublin. I applaud the 100,000 people who marched against water charges in Dublin this weekend. It's an all too rare occurrence in Ireland for people to get out and protest. Too often people lay back and take whatever is handed to them and even now there are those that argue what we shouldn't complain, shouldn't protest and should just accept it. This protest was a great event. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Friday Funny Video #72.
