InfoPincher: September 2006
http://infopincher.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 22, 2006. I love Carl Hiassen. I think he’s one of the best columnists to ever make his mark in the beige commentary slots in the Miami Herald, as well as a great novelist. I also think that his satirical play on bribery being a decent thing to do especially when the pay is cheap and the responsibility is high is brilliant. I’m referring to the September 17. I have to admit I laughed pretty hard. I’m glad there are people who have reservations about employing someone to cover. Well, I a...

Thursday, November 02, 2006. Political Blogs provide plenty of these opportunities at all ends of the political spectrum. Ideologues, with plenty of emotion but little literature or proof to back it up, clog these websites where all you need to express, whatever it is you want to express, is an e-mail address, a keyboard, and only a basic understanding of the English language. With the first article, a writer by the name of Jonathan P., states that liberals themselves have done the greatest damage to...

Insightful stuff from a 28 year old female. Thursday, October 26, 2006. IS THE INTERNET ANTI-DEMOCRATIC? IS THE INTERNET ANTI-DEMOCRATIC? Of course there are a lot of problems with boundaries and restricted access to the internet that mean a lot of people don't go online because they can't get to one or pay for the use of a computer. I'd like to bring up that there are many many people in the world who think the use of computers is silly. Why? But back to the point of is the internet anti-democratic?

It was September 11, 2001. It was a day that changed my view of the world forever and I thought it would have the same affect on my entire generation. But for some, no sooner did it happen, than it was forgotten. Repensek worked the polls last Tuesday in Tallahassee for the primary election for governor. Only 30 out of 400 registered voters, under the age of 30, voted during the primary election that day. It was painfully sad for our generation," Repensek said, "the older people were so happy to see youn...

Friday, September 22, 2006. If you want to actually make money in the music industry these days, you have to put down the instrument for a while and start studying business. The Internet: a Tool or a Waste? Does the Internet pose as a tool to participate in our democracy or is it just another way to waste away time entertaining yourself?
