To mark Armistice Day this year and 100 years from the start of WW1 the last ceramic poppy is planted at the Tower of London display by 13 year old cadet Harry Hayes. There are 888,246 flowers, one to represent each of the 888,246 lives that were lost in the Great War. As the last post was played just before 11am the nation fell silent in remembrance. NOTES FROM AN ENGLISH GARDEN

NOTES FROM AN ENGLISH GARDEN. Wednesday, 12 August 2015. Sunday, 9 August 2015. Today is our 40th wedding anniversary so we took ourselves off to Stratford upon Avon for the weekend. We thought we'd share some photo's of Stratford with you all. Stratford is full of 16th century buildings plus every other century up to date. It's also FULL of tourists at this time and most times of year, so very hard to get photo's without visitors taking their own photo's! A rare clear pavement! It's all in the detail.

Wednesday, 23 March 2011. A letter to Anjem Choudary. Anjem, Anjem, Anjem, what are we going to do with you my lad? You were so much fun back in your salad days, all those boozy, babe filled, pot smoking adventures, and now look at you, all grey and serious. Was it because you failed your first year medical exams, or because you’ve been struck off the roll of solicitors? Oh and on the subject of qualifications, what exactly are yours that allow you to call yourself a shar’ia judge? 8220;One of our campai...

There is an art to making frittata/Spanish omelette. But it is very straightforward and once you know how to do it, it is very easy. 4 Gently stir ...

England mourns for her dead across the sea. Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,. Fallen in the cause of the free. Solemn the drums thrill; Death august and royal. Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres,. There is music in the midst of desolation. And a glory that shines upon our tears. We will remember them.

However, we can’t choose when or whom with we fall in love – I’ve always chosen to follow my heart not my head and go with the flow! We did meet up in real life however to discuss work –...
