The Mancia Chronicles: Bienvenida Abuelita!
http://manciachronicles.blogspot.com/2012/10/bienvenida-abuelita.html
Friday, October 5, 2012. I know it meant a lot for Juan Pablo to finally get to share his baby boy with his mom. I see the love that Mayte has for her one and only boy and it foreshadows for me the pride and joy that will no doubt grow and grow in me toward my own baby boy. They say there is something a boy and his mama, right? Side note: I'd say I managed to marry in to some good genes.if you are wondering how we ended up with such a beautiful baby (not biased, of course). What a handsome trio!

The Mancia Chronicles: Overnight
http://manciachronicles.blogspot.com/2013/05/overnight.html
Friday, May 3, 2013. People aren't kidding when they say to cherish every moment, because "they grow up overnight". Something has happened in the past month, and that something is that we are no longer the proud parents of a baby boy, but the proud parents of a little boy. Our little man is not only walking and starting some semblance of talking, but he's turning in to a little man - with lots of opinions! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow Us By Email. http://manciachronicles.blogspot.com/p/about-us.html
Kristin is a native of NC and attended UNC-Chapel Hill for undergrad. Juan Pablo is a native of El Salvador, and grew up in the DC area before attending the University of Maryland for undergrad. Somehow, we both ended up in Charlotte, NC and were lucky enough to meet in a bar (it can happen! Things are about to get even crazier. In May, 2012, we will welcome our first little baby [surprise]. But we figured it was time to chronicle our adventures, as we hope they will continue with Baby M in tow!

The Mancia Chronicles: Breathe Them In
http://manciachronicles.blogspot.com/2013/05/breathe-them-in.html
Monday, May 13, 2013. Yesterday was my first Mother's Day and Friday is the 1 year anniversary of the day we were blessed with becoming parents to a little boy named Everett - a boy who has brought us joy we could not even remotely imagine this time last year, when I sat 4 days overdue and very impatient. I wondered. how many times had I. Little one to bed so I could get back to MY. Long list of chores? How many times had I. Gotten frustrated when he wanted me to hold him just a little bit longer, but in...

The Mancia Chronicles: Thank You, 2012
http://manciachronicles.blogspot.com/2012/12/thank-you-2012.html
Monday, December 31, 2012. Thank You, 2012. But it hit me the other day that it didn't matter.I just had to start.somewhere. And seeing that it's New Year's Eve, and I'm being introduced to the wild night that is NYE post-kids (I'm sitting on the couch about 2 feet from my husband with a breast pump attached to my front, a computer on my lap, a computer on his lap, and football on the television - yikes! At least we each have some wine) I figured now was as good a time as ever. Thank you, mother-in-law -...

The Dickerson Family: 4 years and 2 months
http://dickersonnews.blogspot.com/2013/03/4-years-and-2-months.html
March 19, 2013. 4 years and 2 months. I still can't believe that we have 2 kids. Sometimes I'll be driving down the road, bobbing my head to Jay-Z and then I realize that I have 2 car seats in the back. oh and I'm over 30 years old. Times flies, right? First, I want to talk about how much Preston looks like Chase. Here's a picture of Chase that was taken when he was around 2 months old:. It's crazy to see the similarities. (For the record, the rest of these baby pictures are Preston.). Here are just a fe...

The Dickerson Family: Life.
http://dickersonnews.blogspot.com/2013/02/life.html
February 14, 2013. First of all, I cannot thank Betty Ann and Don enough for all the sleep-overs, and special attention they have showered Chase with. I'm pretty sure that all that attention has and continues to shape him into the little ball of confident personality that he is every day. He's so much fun and makes us laugh all the time. In this picture below, you can see him covering up with his "sur-bible blanket". Apparently it came with a "sur-bible" kit that he convinced someone (Bebe? Notes from a ...

The Dickerson Family: Twins?
http://dickersonnews.blogspot.com/2013/05/twins.html
May 28, 2013. I keep saying how much I think Preston looks like Chase when he was a baby. Lots of people have actually been saying that they even look alike now, which I don't see. So, just out of curiosity, I searched through a few photos and found some where the 2 boys looks especially similar. What do you think? Crazy, isn't it? May 28, 2013 at 1:45 PM. Crazy (they definitely resemble each other).and adorable! Thanks for sharing all of those. (:. May 29, 2013 at 9:23 AM. They are totally twins!

The Dickerson Family: November 2012
http://dickersonnews.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
November 29, 2012. I was excited to be able to make this both Chase's and my project since it was to hang in his room. He was pretty happy to help as well. In fact, he decided to start a 'project' on his own while we were waiting for the paint to dry:. Check out the 6 markers that he insisted all be attached to his pajama shirt. He's so funny these days. November 20, 2012. Last weekend we visited one of the Chapel Hill fire stations for a tour. Chase was in heaven. November 19, 2012. The De Falco Family.

The Mancia Chronicles: Roots
http://manciachronicles.blogspot.com/2013/04/roots.html
Monday, April 1, 2013. Roots: The part of a plant that attaches it to the ground or to a support, conveying water and nourishment to the rest of the plant. While we are still managing to have quite a few nights apart, thanks to my job, and we are still managing to rack up a few frequent flier miles (in fact we headed to the courthouse this morning to get little E his first passport! We are rooted in the fact that we always have a place to come home to. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
