Annette's Acre: November 2005

http://annettesacre.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html

For the musings and mutterings of my busy life - focused primarly on the hobbies that keep me sane: stitching, reading and computer geekdom. On Thanksgiving Day my Grandad passed away. He would have been 90 in January. I'd like to take a few minutes to share a few stories about this very important man in my life. Many an afternoon was spent speeding down the driveway and praying that I didn't hit something in the garage.lol. I spent many a New Year's Day at their house. Grandad would setup three tele...

For the musings and mutterings of my busy life - focused primarly on the hobbies that keep me sane: stitching, reading and computer geekdom. I haven't blogged for a week, so I figured I best come up with something *really* good to talk about. Work has been incredibly busy, I'm stitching as fast as I can at home to finish up stuff before heading to Nashville and there's nothing unusual going on that's remotely blog-worthy. So I'm resorting to the old standbys: Puppies, Stash and Tons of Pictures. This is ...

The man who doesn't read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them." -Mark Twain. 1) Do you use bookmarks? I loooove bookmarks. I have paper ones and metal ones and stitched ones.and I can always use more. I've become somewhat of a bookmark collector. 2) What is your favorite book? Word Frea...

For the musings and mutterings of my busy life - focused primarly on the hobbies that keep me sane: stitching, reading and computer geekdom. 2005 - In Review. I hope everyone had a glorious Christmas! We had a great one here at Chez Acre. Well, except for DH, DS and I coming down with a nasty cold the week before. That put a bit of a damper on the final preparations, but we're all about over it and ready for the new year. I have a lovely new iPod Nano. But on to a bit of review. As for my December Goals:.

Annette's Acre: August 2005

http://annettesacre.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html

For the musings and mutterings of my busy life - focused primarly on the hobbies that keep me sane: stitching, reading and computer geekdom. A Question Answered and Upcoming Stitch-Along. First, Isabelle asked about the Butterfly in Butterfly Lace. I made it :). Very tedious. But very pretty results. The idea of a "Monochromatic SAL" has taken hold on the RotationBB. For me, it's my newly acquired Shiraz Sampler from Dinky Dyes to be done in DD Yallingup on white fabric. Two finishes this weekend! Next y...

Here you will often find my thoughts of the day, with the occasional vent - but first and foremost this is where I can share my passion for stitching. Monday, May 29, 2006. Last post from down, down under. Well, it's my second to last night here before I wing my way back 'across the ditch' . it's been an interesting day in more ways than one. Writings from the Wall(paper). Welcome to the online archive of my thoughts. Thoughts about all kinds of things - my spiritual life, day-to-day happenings, my crafts and hobbies, . whatever spills out of my head and into cyberspace, really. Sunday, February 12, 2006. This morning I received my package from. As well - pictures soon, when I've experimented with the camera enough to not have an anaemic photo again. I also received two - one from Faith Ann. My random thoughts on raising kids, working on my MBA, and life in general. You never know what you might find here, aside from tons of typos, since typing is my Achilles Heel! Thursday, December 30, 2004. This post is inspired by one with an acre. And I hope to do as good a job with my post as she did with hers. 2004 proved to be a good year for us in comparison to many, and for that I am very thankful! She loves her volleyball and Tae Kwon Do, now that we've finally found a school that we like! And I'l...

Annette's Blog

Erschreckend. es ist 4 Jahre her, dass ich das letzte Mal auf diesem Blog geschrieben habe. und dabei hatte ich Besserung "versprochen". Nun will mich meine Namensschwester auf Blog-Ueberholspur bringen, also muss ich mich wohl doch mal wieder ans Beiträge schreiben machen ;-). 4 ans sans nouvelle contribution sur mon blog. Et la dernière fois que j'ai écrit, c'était en disant que je voulais m'améliorer. Qui propose un PIF, je vais essayer maintenant de participer un peu mieux au monde des blogueurs!

Annette's Acre | Stitching, knitting, reading, life…whatever catches my eye

Stitching, knitting, reading, life…whatever catches my eye. February 15th, 2015. Another one off the list:. 14 A Nonfiction book. Slow start, but a great finish. Wonderful stories from many Whedonverse alums and insights into an unbelievably creative mind. A book you were supposed to read in school but didn’t. Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series is one of my favorites and I love all things Egyptian, so this trilogy seems like a no-brainer for me to read. Tags: 2015 Reading Challenge. February 15th, 2015.
