Then my very good friend Joan, who went to the show and saw the demo, talked me through Lin's instructions and we produced this one. Then I got up really early the next day, and had another go. These are great fun to do! Sunday, February 19, 2012. Loving them Hilda.xx. 19 February 2012 at 16:23. These are all stunning.

A place to share: Something different from me!
http://hilda-aplacetoshare.blogspot.com/2012/03/something-different-from-me.html
A place to share. Saturday, 17 March 2012. Something different from me! I was asked to make a baby card, something I don't do very often as "cute and pretty" is not my style at all, so this is what I came up with. I stamped the main image at our craft day at Jeans on Tuesday then this morning my long awaited Memory Box Tessatina Border dropped thru the letterbox, so I had a play, chopped it up a bit and the result is the corner/border above. I like this idea but I am sure I can improve on it! Inking arou...

A view from my crafting room. Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Beige and Teal Quilt. We were given lots of cut 5" squares at Comfort Quilters, I found the beige squares weren't very popular, so I grabbed them all. I combined some of them with a variety of teal bits. Susie's Artful Expeditions: Brayered and Gessoed Altered Paper
http://susieart.blogspot.com/2008/11/brayered-and-gessoed-altered-paper_29.html
Saturday, November 29, 2008. Brayered and Gessoed Altered Paper. Ophelia (http:/ opheliasart.blogspot.com/) is moderating a quick altered paper swap and is allowing me to participate. I created some papers using a Creole Spice rainbow pad, some distress inks, and some gesso, along with a few Paper Artsy and Stampers' Anonymous stamps. I can't take credit for this class, I learned the technique in a class created by Julie at our best local stamp store - Cornerstone. December 12, 2008 at 3:19 PM. A special...

Adrienne's Art Garden: December 2013
http://adriennegoodenough.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 31 December 2013. I had to make something for a swap, using Lutradur. I started by taking white lutradur, and adding a very thin layer of gesso through a stencil I then used crimson and orange fluid acrylics to colour the lutradur, the gesso takes the paint differently to the lutradur and creates a nice effect. I painted another piece of lutradur crimson, and mounted the gessoed piece onto it using gold brads. Monday, 30 December 2013. Maple leaves book page. I painted a piece of canvas with qui...

Susie's Artful Expeditions: October 2007
http://susieart.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 29, 2007. This month's theme was children. I decided to go with some things I liked to do as a child, reading and playing games. I got great inspiration from the Tim Holtz background papers, found some wonderful images and took it from there. Monday, October 22, 2007. These are for a nature themed swap, and I also combined them somewhat inadvertently with another challenge to use leaves. The background for these is fabric, which is new for me, but it was fun to work with.
