Enjoying Di's Journey: October 2008

Monday, October 27, 2008. Who Milked the First Cow? I often wonder who the first person was to milk a cow. Maybe it wasn’t a cow; maybe it was a goat or some other animal instead. I’d like to think it was God who showed Adam how to do it because the thought of some man (or woman) approaching a random cow disturbs me. I know it’s not a big deal today, but the first time it happened? Hmmm, still I wonder…. who was that brave cow? Sunday, October 26, 2008. Boogie Boarding and God. Step two - get into the wa...

Enjoying Di's Journey: November 2009

Thursday, November 5, 2009. Troop Cohesiveness in Jeopardy. In time of war, it’s important to have unity amongst the troops. Currently my two new WMDs are not able to work together. Stinky refuses to allow BooBoo Kitty access to the lower home front during the day watch. BooBoo is much more advanced at searching and destroying the enemy, but at this time we are only able to use her skills during the night watch. Wednesday, November 4, 2009. New WMDs Need Tweaking. Life is Grand: June 2009

The Random Musings of the Brand New Grandin Family. Thursday, June 25, 2009. St Thomas and The Walking Tour. We thought after the amazing day we had in St. Maarten, nothing on our cruise could possibly top it. But we were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful St. Thomas was! We took a walking tour from Blackbeard's Castle (which, by the way, is not a castle. Did Blackbeard ever visit). We posed with some awesome pirate statues, and then headed down the windy, steep road to see the rest of the island.

Sunday, November 30, 2008. OMG, I Caught a Mouse! If so, then what are you supposed to do with the mouse once it’s stuck to the tape pad? Are you supposed to pry it from the tape and let it go? That would mean having to touch a live mouse and risk getting bit. Or are you supposed to wait for the mouse to die and then toss the tape pad, mouse and all? What would I do if it bit me? So, who was the ultimate victor in the mouse war? Saturday, November 29, 2008. There’s a mouse in my house. Rats! 1 Water free...

Life is Grand: The Perfect Weekend
http://grandins.blogspot.com/2010/03/perfect-weekend.html
The Random Musings of the Brand New Grandin Family. Monday, March 15, 2010. What's the recipe for a perfect weekend? I think we found it. Just mix together:. 1 hilarious trip to the grocery store. 1 amazing meal: Kalamata Lemon Chicken with Orzo and broiled portobello mushrooms. 1 close call with a pan not meant to go in the broiler. 10 minutes of trying to get the funky smell out of the apartment. 6 additional hours of sleep than the typical evening. 1 hour at Academy looking at baseball gear. 1 fascina...

Life is Grand: July 2009
http://grandins.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
The Random Musings of the Brand New Grandin Family. Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Here's the first installment of what I'm sure will become a somewhat regular article on our blog: Things we've learned since we got married. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to add some of your wisdom as well. If you think cornbread is good for more than one week, you're wrong. If you think you have a strong enough stomach to handle cleaning out a pan of old cornbread, you're wrong. Monday, July 6, 2009. It was a wonderful endin...

The Random Musings of the Brand New Grandin Family. Wednesday, November 10, 2010. This is my second week of photography class at UT Arlington, because my husband is awesome. He bought me the course as a birthday gift last year; work has been so crazy that I haven't been in town for any seven-week period up until this point. I really like the course, and I have a TON to learn. Thank you for a fabulous gift, Matty! Oops, too sunny). Note to self: Clean your lens, dork! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Life is Grand: The Boys of Summer are Back
http://grandins.blogspot.com/2010/04/boys-of-summer-are-back.html
The Random Musings of the Brand New Grandin Family. Wednesday, April 7, 2010. The Boys of Summer are Back. Yeah, it's finally baseball season. It only took forever to get here! Mr Grandin and I are HUGE baseball fans, so we have been anxiously awaiting this week since the World Series. (Actually, since before the World Series because our teams all had an off year! Although I love baseball quite a bit, I don't think I am anywhere near the level of fan that my husband has achieved. Why, you ask?
