Thursday, March 29, 2012. Mal Pais, The Bad Lands, The Good Life. The above 2 pictures were taken at 5:45 am , looking due east . We were out at a river mouth. Point on the back side of the peninsula. As the swell was wrapping in hard and heavy and closing out west side. The night before was one of the best sessions I've ever had, 10 -12 feet faces with bigger sets , winding down the point 300 to 500 yards. Both Melissa and I caught the longest waves of our lives. Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Ruby And Ginger's Excellant OBX Adventure. Another great week in Hatteras! Ruby at 16, still charging the vacation scene, she loves being carried up and down stairs, a 5 walks a day. Ginger concures. Great surf 4 out of 7 days, Frisco 2 and Buxton / Rodanthe 2. Didn't shoot much footage as I was riding Takayama a lot, and honestly just didn't feel like fiddle fartin' with the thing. Can't beat a week in Hatteras in October, Zog. Sunday, October 14, 2012. Thursday, February 2, 2012. Low Tech , No CAD Board Design. Tools: Pencil , Square , Measuring Tape, 1"x8' Drafting Batten , and some heavy construction paper . All available at Lowes . Set Length and navigation points at wide point , 12 inches from end of nose and tail . Bend batten to intersect all points and draw a curve .Use the edge of the paper as your stringer. Best Damn Shop Contest East Coast Shop Skateboard Contest October 26th and 27th 2012. Last night was a blast and the skateboarding was amazing. At the end of the day the guys from Another Skate Shop in Carolina Beach laid waste to the new Project 58 course. Other highlights included 12 year old Austin O'Brien from 17th Street in Va Beach putting together an impressive 20 minutes of skateboarding and the guys from 3 Ride in Maryland leaving it all on the course but coming up just a bit short.
