The Avs Factor - A Colorado Avalanche Blog: Thoughts on a New Season
http://www.avsfactor.com/2010/10/thoughts-on-new-season.html
The Avs Factor - A Colorado Avalanche Blog. Sunday, October 3, 2010. Thoughts on a New Season. Since 1997, I have not missed an Avalanche-Flyers game in Philly. This year, however, looked to be a streak killer. Thrown away to the "middle of nowhere" (Ithaca, NY), it appeared as though I'd be unable to attend Philly's home opener aka banner raising ceremony aka the game against the Avs. Alas, it dawned on me last night that I would be on Fall Break. And that the streak could continue. Will not win the Cup...

The Avs Factor - A Colorado Avalanche Blog. Thursday, October 6, 2011. Thoughts on a New Season [2011-12]. Photo by Doug Pensinger/Getty Images North America. That was the longest offseason ever. When we last saw the Avs. Hey, at least the Avs have a chance to continue their winning streak when they take on the Detroit Red Things on Saturday night at the Pepsi Center. The home/season opener will also consist of a tribute. The last time Colorado retired a number. The Avalanche will begin the season withou...

The Avs Factor - A Colorado Avalanche Blog. Friday, March 1, 2013. Happy or Not: The Return of Ryan O'Reilly. The Ryan O'Reilly saga is over. After what turned out to be a humiliating negotiation period (for both sides, in my opinion), a ridiculous impasse, and finally a contentious offer sheet by the Calgary Flames, Mr. O'Reilly is once again a member of the Avalanche. And oh baby, look at that pretty check he's set to receive. It's a two-year deal,. O'Reilly gets all of this for his stupendous defensiv...

The Avs Factor - A Colorado Avalanche Blog. Saturday, May 19, 2012. Hejduk Given One Last Chance. The Avs, starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel of their rebuilding phase, could have let the 36-year-old Hejduk retire or offer his services elsewhere. Instead, they gave him a one-year deal. To remain a member of the Avalanche. It shouldn't, because as evidenced by the Hejduk signing, the Avs take care of their own. They remain a classy organization to the end. 5 months to hockey.

Thoughts on Duchene's Two-Year Contract. I've posted my thoughts on Duchene's two-year contract on The Hockey Writers. After Duchene's rookie season, I wouldn't have taken a bet that he'd only be signing a two-year deal at this point in his career. Posted by Geoff Rosenthal. At 10:24 AM [Permalink]. The Avs Factor - A Colorado Avalanche Blog. Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Thoughts on a New Season [2013-14). Hey everybody. It's been awhile. Seven months to the day, in fact. In the months that I have been gone, Patrick Roy and Joe Sakic took over the organization, Alex Tanguay returned, the Avalanche drafted Nathan Mackinnon first overall, and yesterday, the NHL adopted hybrid icing for the 2013-14 season. I also took the LSAT, got into law school, and I am currently enjoying my senior year at Cornell.

The Avs Factor - A Colorado Avalanche Blog. Friday, January 18, 2013. Thoughts on an Unlocked Season. I just really enjoy this picture. I was at the point of complete apathy. Three weeks ago, I didn't give one iota if the NHL and NHLPA agreed to a new CBA or not. Thanks to my season tickets for the Cornell Big Red hockey team, as well as the occasional Binghamton Senators affair, hockey lived on during the final months of 2012. It took viewings of this:. Hook, line, and sinker. Nobody calls for Joe Sacco.
The Avs Factor - A Colorado Avalanche Blog: September 2012
http://www.avsfactor.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
The Avs Factor - A Colorado Avalanche Blog. Tuesday, September 4, 2012. I no longer have to wait to get my Ryan O'Reilly jersey. I can now confidently say that it won't have the captain's "C," at least not during any part of the foreseeable future. This is because the Avalanche has named. Its 19-year-old sophomore, Gabriel Landeskog, the franchise's fourth ever captain. There has been unending talk since Landeskog entered the league that he had the leadership ability to be an NHL captain one day soon....

Tuesday, April 7, 2015. CHRIS FUSCO - CHAMPION AGAIN. The seemingly impossible happened. Going into the final four, Kentucky was an even money favorite in Vegas to win two games and take home the title. In their previous 38 games, they were unblemished. While they survived a few close calls, they were still batting 1.000. I hope everyone enjoyed this years Invitational. You have a choice when it comes to web hosting, dns query handling, and domain registration. Don't choose Dotster. For a bit more than a decade, I registered several domains with Dotster, one of the early discount registrars. Way back in 2002, they had a reputation for being inexpensive and low-overhead. That was fine: I didn't need a lot of tech-support, I just needed a place to host my boring static content. Go ahead, look it up. Then I asked for a refund. That's when my troubles began.
