And they ALWAYS have pamphlets for the chateaux (shah-toe; castles) in the area. I saw them and really wanted to go see one. So I finally did. Today, I visited Chambord (shahm-boor). This was the 4th castle I had seen this summer (Chinon, Versailles, Chambord, and Villandry), and was definitely my favorite! I would highly recommend this castle, but plan for several hours so that you can fully enjoy the gardens (which is what Villandry is known for). I got on and was on my way! Not a bad view. A summer in France. July 18, 2015. July 18, 2015. It’s a Girl! This family welcomed a new baby girl on Sunday night, and her name is Blandine (blawn-deen). The mom (Marie) called an ambulance around 6 Sunday night, they came at 7, and the baby was born at 8! When the ambulance left, we were able to eat.
