Autism Unplugged: How Can you Mend a Broken Heart?

http://autismunplugged.blogspot.com/2009/04/break-my-heart-for-things-that-break.html

Thursday, April 9, 2009. How Can you Mend a Broken Heart? Are you participating this month in the Turning the Tide! I've been praying the prompts that Children of Destiny has provided for each day. Have you printed out the calendar? Or are you using the pop-up windows online each morning? They do an awesome job leading us in corporate scriptural prayers that are relevant and specific. Praise God for the Systema's! Got me thinking.and is as good a template as any for blogging. I need to guard against comp...

Monday, February 28, 2011. February Podcast: Paula Dawson. Paula is a woman who gives real meaning to the word, sweet. She is kind to the marrow. Here's a glimpse of her last Friday winning a night out at a happening local nightclub. ( who knew? Spending time with Paula makes me feel like the lucky winner. I consider her an inspiration to the autism community. Last night she was gracious enough to let me ask her a couple questions while recording:. Click Autism Unplugged Paula Dawson.mp3. Autism Unplugged: April 2014

http://autismunplugged.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Monday, April 7, 2014. Who here remembers Moses? I once suggested we join a small group of elder statesmen in our church. Jim, not sure it was the right age classification, joked how it might go:. Who here remembers Moses? Hey, that guy owes me money. To me, that is the magic of studying the Bible: meeting real people in real situations and reading what the Lord did in their lives. "Remembering His deeds" in their lives opens up the possibilities for what He is doing in mine. The deeds of the Lord. We do...

Autism Unplugged: Up on the Roof

http://autismunplugged.blogspot.com/2012/10/up-on-roof.html

Saturday, October 27, 2012. Up on the Roof. Monday September 24th was a picture of answered prayer. Our second annual Rooftop Soiree fundraiser for San Diego Capernaum. Was actually a first. Remember the blackout. Seventy or so (not to over spiritualize but that was the number of disciples sent out two by two in Luke 10. Capernaum" by Joel Anderson". Jesus passed through Capernaum often drawing a crowd every time. On one occasion he healed a man with a disability. What's more, he forgave his sins...He sa...

Autism Unplugged: May 2014

http://autismunplugged.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Living Outside the Box. As we drove to the "mental exam" SSI requires to qualify Reid for funding (now that he's over 18), I prayed:. Lord, guard my heart. Whatever happens, I want to see Reid through your eyes. Whatever they say or determine, doesn't change your plans for him. Guard my heart and his from the world's misperception and lies. I have learned from experience that these appointments, however routine, can leave me in despair. Not this time. I declared in Jesus name.

Open Up and Let Go: October 2014

http://openupandletgo.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Open Up and Let Go. I'm opening up my arms and letting go of a life I can't control. While the idea can be a little bit scary, I'm willing to hold my breath and take a leap, knowing I will not drown. Thursday, May 3, 2012. Pre-Dinner Conversation with D. Preschooler D: What is that smell? D: No, what is that. D: No, I mean what else? M: Just french fries. D: It smells like chicken nuggets. M: Oh, yeah. It does. Nope, just french fries. Smells like chicken nuggets. M: I don't know what to tell you. It's just french fries. Looks like the smell of chicken nuggets. M: Yes, son, I actually follow that train of thought. Sadly, there are only french fries in the oven. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Friends and loved ones, I finished that race and I ran the whole way - except for the part where I had to stop and tie my shoe. I should have had pants on. I should have checked my laces. I should have . . . who cares? Don't I look serious? Isn't he cute in a completely platonic-brother-in-Christ way? Well, thank you Photoshop,...

At Least We Know . . .: Recovery

http://leastweknow.blogspot.com/2012/05/recovery.html

Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Well, I think I have finally recovered from all the excitement on Saturday. I had to. Coach Sam, seeing my commitment to the process, has decided it's time to step it up, so yesterday I did my first hill sprint. Yeah - no - that's just what it sounds like. I jog *a mile* to a hill, sprint up the hill, and jog home. It was awful. Let me say that again so you understand. It was awful. Carrie, my friend/dental hygienist, asked today, "But wasn't it great when you got to the top?

Noah's World: April 2010

http://bayleejoe29.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Life through the eyes of one very special little boy. Tuesday, April 20, 2010. I love this picture, although it makes him look so grown up! Where is my little munchkin? It's been exactly one week since Noah's surgery. Thankfully, he has recovered quite nicely. The first day was a little rough and we spent the whole first day watching Pixar movies. I think he watched. At least four times! Mama, on the other hand, is going a little crazy. :). Links to this post. Thursday, April 15, 2010. About 50 times whi...

Noah's World: Happy Valentine's Day!

http://bayleejoe29.blogspot.com/2012/02/happy-valentines-day.html

Life through the eyes of one very special little boy. Tuesday, February 14, 2012. First off I want to tell everyone Happy Valentine's Day! There is so much to catch up on that I am not sure where to start. First Noah had surgery back on November 8th. It was nothing major and he did really well. He is completely recovered and back to his old self. He will be going in for dental surgery sometime in April, so we'll see how that goes. Noah is officially potty-trained since last summer! Noah's World: This Crazy Life

http://bayleejoe29.blogspot.com/2010/12/this-crazy-life.html

Life through the eyes of one very special little boy. Thursday, December 16, 2010. Life has really gotten the best of me lately. Needless to say I have been terribly neglectful in visiting other's blogs and even more neglectful in updating my own blog. There has been so much going on that I don't even know where to start. Noah finally turns 4! He got his Wii! Unfortunately, he's having some trouble figuring it out and hasn't touched it much since he opened it! She is great with him! After the program we ...

Friday, February 27, 2015. When Songwriting Looks Easy. I craned my neck and ears through the receptionist's window to hear exactly what was going on. Whatever happened to one-way glass? Strumming an easy volley of chords, Reid was writing a song. What? By himself. Independently. Smoothly. Not in fits and starts. Not heavily prompted. No carrots dangling. But this was different. Angela wasn't helping. She was watching.and recording it. Reid extemporized a second verse:. What are your dreams for tonight?
