Autumn Lodge consists of independent living units, ageing in place hostel and high care rooms, a secure dementia unit and short term respite beds. All rooms are single with ensuite. Access is provided to a range of allied health options including physiotherapy, podiatry, twenty four hour emergency registered nurse support and a beautiful chapel. Autumn Lodge is a "not for profit", community based, aged care facility, situated in Armidale in the beautiful New England area of NSW. The original concept of supported care was initiated on the site in 1896 by the Armidale Ladies Relief Society. The present day village began in 1956 with the Willowdene Hostel and has grown to its present comfortable living environment on four acres of parklike grounds within two kilometres of the Armidale CBD. Autumn Lodge have a variety of activities to interest and involve residents. Activities are encouraged and supervised by a qualified Lifestyle Co-ordinator and include:. Exercise classes for all levels of ability. Outings in the bus. Music sessions, sing-a-longs, instrument recitals. Small social groups, cards, quizzes, word games.
