LOS ANGELES (AP) - Turner subsidiary Fox Searchlight and the cutting-edge Focus Films are engaged in a bidding war over Trent Sherwin's cult smash novel Trent Sherwin and the Magical Trenchcoat. Hope this bidding war doesn't resign Trent Sherwin to "Production Hell" like so many other great projects. Seriously whatever happened to Conan?

City figures he’s got a sale. Interest you in some feed for that pig? City quick-draws a catalog from his pocket. The farmer stops to swipe his forehead but doesn’t answer. . It’d save time, City adds.

Sunday, October 02, 2005. It'd be interesting if instead of cloning. We cloned hotdogs instead. Imagine the creatures of fantasy and wonder that would be created. Gone are the stale and clichéd pastiche "monsters" of the past; the gryphon, satyrs, cockatrice etc. Instead envision a succulent beast reverse-engineered from nature's most eclectic meat.
