A walk on the wyld side: Teenagers!!!

http://www.awalkonthewyldside.blogspot.com/2013/11/teenagers.html

A walk on the wyld side. A blog on life for a home educating mother of three living by the seasons in the countryside in England. Sunday, 17 November 2013. What a busy couple of weeks we've had.in case you didn't know this week my eldest daughter, Miss P became a teenager. It is simply beyond me how quick the time has gone since she was just a twinkle in her father and my eyes (a big twinkle at that). I remember well the exact moment in which she was conceived (Oh yes! Out for a birthday treat. When the ...

A walk on the wyld side. A blog on life for a home educating mother of three living by the seasons in the countryside in England. Sunday, 5 July 2015. It seems like forever since I returned from our recent break in Italy; it is in fact only four weeks ago. It has occurred to me recently that I have simply been living life in the fast lane and somehow (not sure how? So I'm taking things easy and so far things are looking good this week as a result. I've had time to spend outside pottering about in the gar...

A walk on the wyld side. A blog on life for a home educating mother of three living by the seasons in the countryside in England. Monday, 3 August 2015. It never ceases to amaze me how much we take for granted in our daily lives; the things we have, the friends that surround us and our general feeling of safety and security. We've just returned from our annual pilgrimage to HESFES. The kids made willow lanterns which we carried around the site to the beat of drums. When you are there in the midst of thin...

http://www.awalkonthewyldside.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-innate-traveller.html

A walk on the wyld side. A blog on life for a home educating mother of three living by the seasons in the countryside in England. Monday, 17 August 2015. I have this little urge to travel right now. Not sure why but something within seems very much drawn to explore. I don't think this is a long term something, my innate traveller seems to be saying 'a year' not even sure where? It's just there.an idea popping into my mind. Narrow boats have crossed my mind too :-) but again not luxuriously fitted ones.

http://www.awalkonthewyldside.blogspot.com/2015/08/stuffocation.html

A walk on the wyld side. A blog on life for a home educating mother of three living by the seasons in the countryside in England. Monday, 10 August 2015. I've been reading again. Quite clearly, my good intentions have not morphed.the storing habits of the children haven't helped! The book goes on to look examine cases of people who have felt so suffocated by their belongings that they have got rid of virtually everything (tempting) and gone off to live in very remote areas living the simple life. In ...

HOMES'COOL'!!: Going To School

http://no-time-for-housework.blogspot.com/2012/02/going-to-school.html

A home educating family's blog. Saturday, 4 February 2012. N has decided that she would like to go to the local secondary school in September, when she would be entering year 7. We went along to the school this week to have a look around. N really enjoyed the tour, her favourite parts were; the canteen! The new music block and of course the library. We have filled out the application form and just need to wait and see now if she will get a place as we have missed the first round of applications. The Brid...

A home educating family's blog. Wednesday, 15 February 2012. Ebay, Pepper and Drama. I'm still not keeping up with my blogging, I am struggling to find the time. N has been sorting out more things to sell on Ebay, (seriously who knew she had so much stuff). Pepper has been feeling unwell, but Ralph has been on-hand to make her feel better. HOMES'COOL'!!: November 2011

http://no-time-for-housework.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

A home educating family's blog. Saturday, 26 November 2011. Sledging, Ice Slides and Xmas Lights. Yesterday morning we went along to Xscape (indoor snow slopes) in Milton Keynes, after the initial stress of getting up early, realising I had forgotten my wellies, turning around and coming back to pick them up, finding our way there (putting all my faith in hubby's sat nav), finding a helmet that actually fitted each of us, (we must both have extra large heads), we had a really fun time. An ice sculpture,.

HOMES'COOL'!!: January 2012

http://no-time-for-housework.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

A home educating family's blog. Tuesday, 24 January 2012. First post of the year (shame on me). I can't believe that I haven't sat down to write a post since mid-December. It is true that Christmas rushes by as a blur of parties and merriment. N has a new blog at http:/ www.quirkygirlfromjupiter.blogspot.com/. We have been to Egypt on holiday for 11 days of (in theory) sunshine! N took 6 books on holiday with her and by the 4th day had read them all! Speaking of organisation, this is the state of the hom...

HOMES'COOL'!!: February 2012

http://no-time-for-housework.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

A home educating family's blog. Tuesday, 21 February 2012. Pancake Day (a little early for us). E came over to join us last night and the 3 'youngsters' made pancakes together. We were considering calling up the Guiness Book Of Records to witness how many people could make pancakes in the worlds smallest kitchen, but figured they would be busy. There was some expert flipping. The Maths, The Witch, and The Soda Bread. And I managed to watch it without crying! 1 and a half teaspoons bicarbonate of soda.

A home educating family's blog. Wednesday, 7 March 2012. Our first March post. I can't believe how quickly the time is passing, although I do feel like I am always saying that so I should be used to it by now. Still I haven't found the time to post since Pancake Day! We feel like we have been really busy. Most of N's time during the day has been spent tidying and re-arranging her room. Here is how it looks at the moment - super tidy bookshelf. N - very proud of her tidy room. N had a particularly emotion...

HOMES'COOL'!!: A trip to London : Tate Modern

http://no-time-for-housework.blogspot.com/2012/04/trip-to-london-tate-modern.html

A home educating family's blog. Saturday, 14 April 2012. A trip to London : Tate Modern. First of all I feel I must start with a general catch-up. Only two posts in the last two months. This is down to the fact that:. N has been permanently tied to the laptop and only leaves it to go play out with her friends who are on Easter break! I don't have a car at the moment and this has restricted our whereabouts. We have been decorating again. We lost one of our guinea pigs:(. We dropped him off here. I was sup...

A home educating family's blog. Tuesday, 21 February 2012. The Maths, The Witch, and The Soda Bread. N's performance on Friday of the White Witch in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe was great, (despite screaming hysterics on Friday morning that she couldn't possibly do it! And I managed to watch it without crying! We started off our week yesterday as we mean to go on with cookery and maths. It looked beautiful when it came out of the oven. All you need is;. 1 and a half teaspoons bicarbonate of soda.

Two sisters working together in the fields of art and photography. Happy Halloween from the Cemetery! Halloween is one of, if not the most, popular of all holidays for Americans. Both kids and adults seem to love the decorations, costumes, scary stories, candy, parties, horror movies, carnivals, haunted houses and graveyards, and everything else you can think of that goes along with it. I have to admit that I have always loved it too! Have a fun and safe Halloween night! On another outing, I spotted a sq...

A Walk on Water « My journey as I become closer to God

A Walk on Water. My journey as I become closer to God. Jesus without a church or Religion. I simply never felt close to God. The church never brought me closer to God, as matter of fact the thought that I must attend mass weekly, pray the Rosary, confess my sins to a priest and so on was completely off-putting (I mean I’m a quiet, shy introvert so that probably is why). Does it also matter which church I attend? Catholic, baptist, bible, Anglican etc? And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrite...
