It is rare that my mother can affect me, but it does still happen occasionally, and yesterday was just one of those days. This is love. While fancy dinners, unexpected flowers, and expensive chocolates are nice, it’s the smarties roll gently nudged into your searching hand when you’re stressed out that lets you know you’re special. I turned 29 today. When my boyfriend asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday, again, just like every year it seems. I don't think my boyfriend truly understands how it feels, but he will see.
