July 25, 2011. There something about having a toddler that keeps life magical. Maybe it's because everything seems so new for them and every time they achieve a milestone it's so exciting. Ruby is now learning to sleep in a big bed. I love that when I lay down by her, she copies what I do. I'll cross my arms and see her doing the same thing out of the corner of my eye. I'll take a deep breath and then hear her do the same. I love how she perks up when it's time to go swimming and looks for her swim suit.

June 12, 2010. Exhilarate - to make (someone) feel very happy, animated, or elated. Few things exhilarate me more than getting organized. I love to have a place for my stuff. On the flip side, few things make me feel as frustrated as being unorganized. And that's exactly how I've felt since moving here two years ago. For a year and a half, we were renting, so I kept pushing the anxiety aside, realizing I couldn't really do a long term fix until we had a permanent residence. Here are some of my favorites:.

August 10, 2010. Thanks to Uncle TJ and our dear friend Julia, we have a new favorite game. I think you could say we're addicted. The boys received this game as a gift a few weeks ago and we've been playing it non stop. I love it because the games go quickly (15-20 min.) once you know how to play, and it's fun for all ages 8 . June 23, 2009. Our sweet little Ruby Jane is two weeks old and we couldn't be more enchanted with her. She barely makes a peep and is breaking us in easy to the "parents of five" club. Friday, May 30, 2008. Maya has become quite skilled at holding the phone with her shoulder. (she has had plenty of time to watch her mom doing this). Here she is talking to Grandpa, telling him how much she loves him. Maya, Mason and I went to cheer Brett on as he ran in the Nashville Half Marathon. Luckily by the time we got there the rain had mostly stopped. Brett did a great job and we were all so proud of him. Brett and Dan Kirzeder after the race.
