The Crew: May 2008

May 22, 2008. Ashlyn with her Kindergarten teacher. Ashlyn graduated from Kindergarten on Thursday. After the graduation she requested a celebratory lunch at Wendys. At lunch when Steve and I were discussing how old she was getting, Ashlyn said, "I'm getting old, but not as OLD as you." (She bolded the "old"with her tone.). Picture of me saying, "Hi Honee". But I always had good pregnancies and loved being pregnant up until the 38th week.). I love you Mom! So I'm getting old, but I'm loved. May 10, 2008.

The Crew: June 2008
http://steveandlana.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
June 30, 2008. We spent the last weekend of June at Duck Creek for a family reunion. It was so much fun to spend time with everyone. Even though we only spent a couple days together, they were quite memorable. Here are a few highlights:. 1 Grandpa cutting down a 70' dead pine tree, and watching it crash into the shed. 3 Hiking trails in Bryce Canyon. This trail had amazing switchbacks down between the canyon walls. It was a hot and dusty climb, but the views were spectatucular! June 25, 2008. On Thursday...

The Crew: JV Soccer
http://steveandlana.blogspot.com/2009/03/jv-soccer.html
March 21, 2009. Nate (#29) and the JV team. At the end of February, Nate tried out for the high school soccer team. He was excited to find out that he made the Varsity/JV team roster. I was surprised since he is only a freshman and is the smallest player on the team (at a recent Dr.'s visit he was 1% in weight and 4% in height). Congratulations on such a wonderful achievement! That is so exciting. April 16, 2009 at 9:56 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Family and Friends Blogs.

July 31, 2008. Lauren with her gecko pillow. Lauren working on her pajama bottoms. Campfire in the Canyon. An evening in the mountains was the perfect way to end a busy week's activities. We enjoyed a quick hike up to a grove, where the kids found a tree that had grown sideways. They discovered that it was the perfect teeter totter. I discovered a small clearing filled with these beautiful, white Columbine. It was a few days of intense heat on and off the field (100 degrees), but it was also a lot of fun.

The Crew: Ashlyn's Antics
http://steveandlana.blogspot.com/2009/03/ashlyns-antics.html
March 21, 2009. Ashlyn's recent rounds of questions have been focused on butlers. I'm not sure where she ever learned about butlers, but she started to ask Steve and I questions that were a little different from her usual inquiries. It went something like this:. Ashlyn: Mom, have you ever had a butler? Ashlyn: Would you ever want to have a butler? Me: Why would I need one, I have you? I mean someone who has to do everything you tell them to. Steve: No, why would a butler be at work? Needless to say, we g...

The Crew: April 2008
http://steveandlana.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
April 21, 2008. We decided to spend part of our Spring Break in Arizona visiting Grandpa. On the way, we stopped at Arches National Park and spent a couple hours hiking to Delicate Arch. This was the first time for the kids and they loved it. It was also a great way to tire them out for the remaining hours spent in the car. April 12, 2008. My Kind of Tournament. April 7, 2008. The other item to update is the Geography Bee. Nate scored high enough on the exam to qualify for the state competition, whic...

The Crew: A quote from Ashlyn
http://steveandlana.blogspot.com/2008/11/quote-from-ashlyn.html
November 25, 2008. A quote from Ashlyn. I overheard Ashlyn talking to her friend the other day. I'm not sure what prompted her to be on this topic, but quite clearly I heard her say, "If you are my mother's daughter, you must love chocolate! Yep, she's absolutely right, I eat so much chocolate when I am pregnant (and when I'm not), that it is mixed into their bloodstream when they are born. I'm afraid they are addicted at birth to chocolate.what kind of a mother am I? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Crew: January 2008
http://steveandlana.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
January 7, 2008. I keep thinking that as she gets older, all her questions will slowly die away. If you estimate that she asks approximately one question per minute over the space of 3 years, how many more questions can she possibly have? My neighbors are not immune to her questions either. They enjoy relating the latest Ashlyn inquiries. Here is one of her latest-and I may add others at a later time:. It's daytime, he should be at work.". Of course this whole conversation was overheard by the husband).

March 21, 2008. Caleb turned twelve this month and was ordained last Sunday. I think it is perfect timing, since now he will be able to go with Steve and Nate to the Priesthood Session of General Conference, instead of staying home with the girls. March 20, 2008.
