St James, Bermondsey
http://www.bermondseyandrotherhithechurches.co.uk/st-james.php
St James, Bermondsey. St James Church, Bermondsey. What's there to see. Said to be the finest of the Waterloo churches, St James's was built in 1829. The elegant classical interior includes extensive galleries, a large painting of the Ascension, a historic organ, and a fine peal of bells. When is it open? The church is open to visitors Monday 10am-12noon; Thursday 12 noon - 2pm; Saturday mornings 11am-1pm; and Sundays 9.30am-12.30pm. How can I find out more?
St Mary Magdalene, Bermondsey
http://www.bermondseyandrotherhithechurches.co.uk/st-mary-magdalen.php
St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey. St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey. What is there to see? The first known record of a church on the site is from 1290. It is likely that there had been a church on the site for some time before, as the Priory had been built in 1082-1090. The new building was completed by 1690 and is essentially what is seen today, although a significant difference was the portico at the west end (on pillars, projecting into Bermondsey Street above the present pavement), above which was the school.
St Katharine's, Bermondsey
http://www.bermondseyandrotherhithechurches.co.uk/st-katharines.php
St Katharine's, Bermondsey. St Katharine's, Bermondsey. What's there to see? The church was built in 1960 on the foundations of an earlier building. The exterior walls are zig-zag shaped around the nave. Concrete tracery to all nave windows is filled with abstract patterned coloured glass by W T Carter Shapland. When is it open? The church is open for the main service each Sunday at 10am. St Katharine's is in Eugenia Rd, SE16 2RA.
St Mary's, Rotherhithe
http://www.bermondseyandrotherhithechurches.co.uk/st--marys-rotherhithe.php
St Mary, Rotherhithe. St Mary's Church, Rotherhithe. What's there to see? The "Mayflower" church, St Mary's was built in 1715 by John James, an associate of Christopher Wren. The 1764 Byfield organ is a superb example of eighteenth century organ-building, and retains the tonal quality of Handel's day. When is it open? The church is open daily 9am-6pm excluding Mondays (narthex only). The body of the building can be visited at service times, as advertised on the website. Who can I contact.
St Phlips's, Avondale Square
http://www.bermondseyandrotherhithechurches.co.uk/st-philips.php

St Philip's, built in 1963, features a painting of the crucifixion by John Hayward who also painted the ceiling with four archangels and the dove of the Holy Spirit. When is it open?
