Happy Birthday!: time4reading
http://time4reading.livejournal.com/11736.html
Time4Reading is one years old! It's been one year of great books, (Well, for the most part, there were several I wasn't fond of), and I hope everyone is looking forward to another great year of reading. For February's selections we are starting on a classic, much like last year. This time we have Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre. Enjoy this bit of Victorian Gothic Romance for February! May selections...: time4reading
http://time4reading.livejournal.com/13699.html
Alright gang, it's time for our May selection! After two months of Dutch painters, (and I love Rembrandt, but GAH), we have a return to at least more modern fair. This months book for Time4Reading is one of my personal all time favorites, one I read and loved in high school, To Kill a Mockingbird. For those of you sad souls who haven't had a chance to read it. As you all know, I LOVE reading books that are banned, woot! Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post.

Kushiel's Chosen: time4reading
http://time4reading.livejournal.com/10775.html
In my effort to share my thoughts on the books I've been reading, again we go on another pointless rambling through Jenn's brain to see what she thought of her latest reading venture, Kushiel's Chosen. After finishing, (finally), Kushiel's Dart. By Jaqueline Carey, and my next book club book not being in hand, I began Kushiel's Chosen. Right where it left off in the previous book. Our heroine, Phedre no Delauney, Comtesse de Montreve, has recieved her sangoire. Post a new comment. Post a new comment.

Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West: time4reading
http://time4reading.livejournal.com/12537.html
Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. OK, I waited till I graduated college to read this.perhaps I didn't need to wait. Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. How I found this book: God, his uncle, his pet dog, and the divine dust bunny told me I should read thisoh, and everyone else too. The way people carried on, I assumed I’d have to be stupid not to read it. Setting: L. Frank Baum’s fantasy world of Oz, in the period before Dorothy’s arrival from Kansas.

Ooops, so sorry...: time4reading
http://time4reading.livejournal.com/10657.html
Ooops, so sorry. Blame it on the holidays, I was lax this month with our book club. I'd also blame it on Amazon.com, who has still yet to send me The Parable of Miriam the Camel Driver. I am most put out about this. However, that hasn't stopped me from choosing this months book, Wicked. By Gregory Maguire. I've wanted to read this book FOREVER but forced myself to wait till I was done with college to read it. Well college ended in September, so I'm a free woman to read it. So enjoy Wicked this month!

Kushiel's Dart: time4reading
http://time4reading.livejournal.com/9994.html
There are three things in the world I really love, two of these things are history and angels. So when I get a fantasy novel that delves into both, this seems to always be a winning combination for me. And yet, for four years now, Kushiel's Dart. And so I did. Dont' forget, this months book is The Parable of Miriam the Camel Driver. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. Kushiel's Justice: time4reading
http://time4reading.livejournal.com/11921.html
So yeah.I sorta neglected the other books I was supposed to be reading for December and January.cause.well.there was history and kinky sex. Can you blame me? We left off in Kushiel's Scion. As in her other four books, Jaqueline Carey paints for us a vivid world that is like ours, but not. In this adventure we get to go back to Alba, for the first time since Phedre went there in the first book, Kushiel's Dart. Mind you, most of the erotic happens in the first part of the book.but then. I couldn't figure o...

Well I suck...: time4reading
http://time4reading.livejournal.com/14320.html
I admit it, I'm behind on my books. I sort of had a phase where my brain decided it needed a vacation, and it didn't bother leaving a note. Hopefully it is eating bad food and enjoying the nightlife someplace fun. Maybe Milan, (as in Italy), or Reykjavík. Hey, I heard the Icelanders have some killer night life. This month. Have lots of fun with another swashbuckling tale for the summer. I swear, I don't pick these things thematically, it just happens that way! Post a new comment. Post a new comment.

Jane Eyre: time4reading
http://time4reading.livejournal.com/12975.html
I finally finished Jane Eyre. Setting: mid-19th century England, the places outside of that are left specifically vague. Most of the action takes place at Thornfield Hall, a large, rambling manor house in the English countryside. Mrs Reed: Jane's resentful aunt, it's never fully explained why she hates Jane so, just that she does. She prevents Jane from any knowledge of or connection to any of the Eyre members of her family. Grace Poole: A mysterious figure in the house, she is said to be a servant, but ...
