Betsy's Travel Notes: May 2015
http://www.betsyonline.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Email to Friends: Colonial Streets of Trinidad and Back to Havana. My final days of Cuba were mainly spent in Trinidad, a colorful, Colonial town with nearby beaches and old sugar plantations. The bus to Trinidad takes about 7 and a half hours. The Viazul bus is a few CUC cheaper, but several hours longer since it goes back through Havana. The Cubanacan bus I booked for a few CUC more is more comfortable and faster. With many cheek kisses. And now I have arrived in Mexico City and ...
Betsy's Travel Notes: October 2007

Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Email to Friends: TIA (This Is Africa). People were beginning to get angry and fight with the driver. So seven of us convinced a nice Cel-Tel man to give us a ride to try to get to the border before it closed. I felt terrible because we left a bunch of people behind, including this couple and their infant baby who I had been holding who was crying all day in the sun. New country so new cell phone number. Not positive I have it right, but I think it is 011 260 97 889 8447...
Betsy's Travel Notes: August 2013

Saturday, August 31, 2013. Email to Friends: Pursat and off to Phnom Penh. The room is pretty rustic, but clean and has a fan, ac, and tv for $13 ($6 without ac). And who needs hot water, any way (or apparently toilet paper, which I will have to go buy in the morning)? Found a pool hall consisting of two tables covered in green felt, one without pockets. So if you hit the balls too hard, they rolled off the deck into the river! Hope all is well with everyone! Wednesday, August 28, 2013. This morning, I ...
Betsy's Travel Notes: September 2013

Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Email to Friends: Diving in Borneo. And it is mainly Muslim here. There are mosques instead of temples and many woman wear head coverings and some the full face covering. But there are also people who look more like me, so I am still getting spoken to in the local dialect sometimes, if I don't speak first. Caught the boat the next morning to Mabul Island. The Scuba Junkies resort is beautiful! There were no more available tickets to go to the top of the towers (which was oka...
Betsy's Travel Notes: November 2007
http://www.betsyonline.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 29, 2007. Email to Friends: Vacation Time Is Over And Now It Is Off to Work. Just got back today from Zanzibar. The island is beautiful with spices and yummy food and tea galore. But it is very expensive! Thanksgiving Day was hard to be so far from home. And I am the only American staying at this hotel, so I had to explain to many what Thanksgiving even is. To cope, I decided to spend the day with monkeys. Because, really, who can be sad around monkeys? Very relaxing but lots of very ...

Betsy Olive | Blogging, Art-working Cat Lady who sells vintage on the side
Your cart is currently empty. Another great weekend spent visual merchandising and styling another 1970s inspired fashion shoot. My favourite weekends are the ones spent doing the things I love. Which is a bit obvious really as…. Studio 54, styled shoot #bts. Wow what a weekend. Saturday was spent helping my lovely friend Kylie look around charity shops for furniture to go in her Art Gallery, as I’m working on a very exciting project with her. All will…. New styling work for Talia White.

Facing Facts
Facing Facts is a conversation, a diary, an incentive to think beyond oneself. Life is a journey that packs all our experiences into who we become, sort of a suitcase full of our best selves, packed tightly with all the little sundris that make us who we are. Facing Facts is just my little valise. Friday, October 7, 2011. Let's give Obama the public pressure he needs. I just started a petition on the White House Petitions site, We the People. Will you sign it? Take a look, please,at http:/ wh.gov/2BE.
Betsy's philosophers | This WordPress.com site is the bee's knees
This WordPress.com site is the bee's knees. A thought for the moment. Do not live a life of regret but live a life of hope for a better tomorrow. What’s important is what you do today. If something isn’t working for you and there is something you can do about it, then start making little changes. Take small steps and before you know it you’ll be making giant leaps. Live in the now. Betsy's Travel Notes
Sunday, September 3, 2017. Email to Friends: Spain - Granada, Ronda, and Cordoba. Made it to Granada and checked into our absolutely beautiful hotel, Casa del Capitel Nazari. Built in a renovated old house with an attached museum. Wade and I split up to run errands (one of my main errands may have included getting myself some ice cream). We get an early start heading up the hill. Got a little lost walking and didn't want to miss the narrow window. It is truly breathtaking. We visited the Alcazaba fortres...
