Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Mum and Dave's trip to Japan. We made a little sign to catch their attention at arrivals, but there were very few people around. We went to an electrical store and mum had a go in the massage chairs. The Kudo family in (almost) full strength! We went to Nikko and Chuuzenji lake. The weather was great and we managed to catch a glimpse of both monkeys and deesr on the windy road back down. Dave at the resting place of Tokugawa Ieasu, in Nikko national park. biffa'sblog: Mt. Bandai in Fukushima

http://biffasblog.blogspot.com/2011/09/mt-bandai-in-fukushima.html

Monday, September 19, 2011. Mt Bandai in Fukushima. It sounds dodgy, but the mountain itself is just as far away from the nuclear power plant as our apartment in Tochigi. I didn't bother to go out and buy a brand new geiger counter just for today's climb, lets put it that way! The sulpur lake at the bottom of the first incline. Reminded me of Planet of the Apes. Same lake, different view. Inawashiro lake in the distance, where our friends camped the night before. Clouds over the adjacent ski runs. I ...

biffa'sblog: Unfamiliar Critters and Garden Progress Report.

http://biffasblog.blogspot.com/2011/07/unfamiliar-critters-and-garden-progress.html

Monday, July 11, 2011. Unfamiliar Critters and Garden Progress Report. Our garden is crawling with insects which I am unfamiliar with. Yesterday I went to get some shots of those creatures but sadly, they were a bit camera shy and all I could manage were the following. Some sort of ladybug. The dragonflies are so tame you can literally pick them up and play with them. No, the third critter in this series is not me, though I'm probably responsible for most of the damage that happens to the plants!

biffa'sblog: Tochigi Skies

http://biffasblog.blogspot.com/2011/07/tochigi-skies.html

Tuesday, July 05, 2011. Here are some photos from the sky above south Tochigi. I apologise for the lack of updates, I am a lot busier than I expected to be. Here are some pics though:. And a few more images from the days when we mess about. Caught this guy messing about in my salad leaves! Messing about at Kegon Falls near Chuuzenjiko. A load of folks messing about on the combo birthday party we had at ours a few weeks back. Posted by biffa at 9:44 pm. View my complete profile. A lack of certainty.

http://biffasblog.blogspot.com/2004_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 29, 2004. I went up Iwaki mountain again yesterday with a couple of buddies. The day started out as blue as you like, and stayed that way for the duration, barring some isolated cloud at the top. This time we took a different route, one that I've not done before. It began, officially, from Akakura shrine. This place. Posted by biffa at 3:45 pm. Friday, August 27, 2004. This is the view from my back yard. The bridge in Aomori again. This is little More, Aki's nephew. The Heart of Darkness.

Legend of the Night Crying Hubcap

Laquo; Japan Giveth and Japan Taketh Away. Classic McDonald's Commercials ». Legend of the Night Crying Hubcap. I'm back, and this time my car has snow tires. Regular readers of Avoidinglife may recall the story of my failed attempt to scale Noheji's Mount Eboshi. The journey sadly ended with a flat tire, a lost hubcap and a dejected Jamie. Well I waited out the long snowy winter and now it's time to rescue my long lost hubcap and kick some Eboshi ass. Was I successful? Here's what went down. About half ...

The pie man

Tuesday, March 21, 2006. My friends say I am a tad "left of center" and I tend to agree with them. I am mostly happy - the glass is half full kinda thing. And I love to have fun - no jealousy, no mind games, no crap. I am honest and up front - sometimes to a fault! But at least you where you stand. I used to have a huge network of friends but as time has moved on so have a lot of my friends. I think it's time I made new ones! I am 37, separated no kids but a fabulous dog!
