Ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun are well-known carcinogens, and exposure to sunlight increases dramatically for most people during the summer months. Year-round UV protection is recommended, but it is even more important during the summer. To speed progress against cancer and other diseases, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital-Washington University Pediatric Cancer Genome Project has announced the largest release to date of comprehensive human cancer genome data for free access by the global scientific community.
