Wine Journal Woes | Vaguely Vinous
https://vaguelyvinous.wordpress.com/2010/07/24/wine-journal-woes
Things related to, affected or caused by the consumption of wine. July 24, 2010. I keep a wine journal. A paper one. Much to the annoyance of family and friends I am rarely without one. I’ve filled several with tasting notes, labels and dribble marks of wines consumed over the last few years. Perhaps not surprisingly, this obsession has resulted in another fixation: optimum wine journal format. Here are my thoughts on good wine journal construction:. Ideally the journal contains pages for labels, positio...

Hey, I’m a QR Code | Random Mind
https://randommind.wordpress.com/2008/07/15/hey-im-a-qr-code
Learning, technology and other randomness. Laquo; One World. Hey, I’m a QR Code. July 15, 2008 by randommind. There are two things I’ve been trying to wrap my head around lately. The first is gaming. (That’ll have to wait for another post.) The second is mobile learning. Today, I came across a video demonstration of QR codes. This is a QR code for this site. In a few seconds. Or how about embedding QR codes in PowerPoints. To give a convenient link to the handouts for a particular presentation? Gia Milin...

Friday, November 19, 2004. I found our class discussion about rubics quite interesting last night. All the WebQuests that we looked at as examples contain rubrics and most articles you read about WebQuests suggest that rubrics are popular. So you GOTTA put a rubric in ALL WebQuests, right? Rubrics, in my opinion, are another way of presenting objectives and imposing the 'teachers' requirements on the learner. The learner is still 'marked' according to a rubric imposed by the 'teacher'. Why can't the lear...

Monday, November 08, 2004. Audio Recording Our Class Discussions? After our last class and the lively reflection/discussion we had about our PowerPoint games and the new discussions that came to life while we each presented our WebQuest topics, I think it's a shame that our discussion is now a thing of the past. I wish it could be kept alive. This leads me to ask the question "How do you retain those 'ah hah' moments in the classroom? Would it be worthwhile for us to audio-tape our classroom discussions?
