How to find us. How to find us. Musical Director - John Pearson. Born in Newcastle, John started playing cornet aged 11 under the tuition of Peter Bell. John played in his school band before joining The Felling Silver Band and then Dunston Silver Band and was soon appointed Principal Cornet. John’s interest in conducting started whilst at school and he has recently studied and gained his DipABRSM in Conducting and has taken part in conducting workshops with Russell Grey and Ian Porthouse.

We are a friendly and social band and always welcome players, whether you're thinking of coming regularly or just want to come along for a blow. Our band-room is situated on the first floor of the Conservative Club. The Conservative Club is our regular haunt for a drink after rehearsal and also provides us with a great base for the bands regular social functions.
