Jul's Art Niche: Grungy Monday #27
http://julsartniche.blogspot.com/2011/11/grungy-monday-27.html
November 15, 2011. I can't believe I got my GM challenge done on Tuesday (of the same week! I've, unfortunately, missed quite a few of the GM challenges but am always so happy when I can find time to play along! So this week we're following the techniques Tim used for his 12 Tags of Christmas, 2007, Day 6. Here's my take on it:. I mixed blue patina perfect pearls with peeled paint re-inker to spray my background. It's hard to see the shimmery blue in the photo but it's so pretty in real life! I live on a...

Jul's Art Niche: I finished my tray!!
http://julsartniche.blogspot.com/2011/09/i-finished-my-tray.html
September 10, 2011. I finished my tray! Before I knew it, I had forgotten all my woes and finished my tray! It's true, Art really does wash away from the soul the dust from everyday life (and honey, my soul was really dusty! Tho' this project is not really a true reflection of my style it pulled me out of my funk and put a smile on my face. I essentially just followed the instructions from class and used the materials we were given to create my travel themed tray. Great masculine card, isn't it? For this...

http://julsartniche.blogspot.com/2012/10/a-warm-fall-hello-announcement.html
October 15, 2012. A Warm, Fall Hello and An Announcement. Hello, my dear crafty friends! I can't believe how very long it's been since I last posted here. To be quite honest, I've spent the past year putting most of my efforts into my real life job (yuck) and any free time was devoted to much needed home improvements. Oh! Did I mention the home improvements included some sweet renovations to my craft studio? Can anyone say de-stash. And re-organizing. Which leads me to my next big announcement {. Of cour...

Glitter Tart Designs: Travel Accordion Book
http://cmoh.blogspot.com/2015/04/year-is-100th-anniversary-of-1915.html
Wednesday, April 22, 2015. This year is the 100th Anniversary of the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition and Alpha Stamps. There is just something about postcards that scream, historical fun events, to me. So to help celebrate this event with Alpha Stamps I've created some postcards highlighting events from the Exposition. When I was done making the postcards I felt like I hadn't done enough. I've been itching to make a book accordion file so voila, the perfect way to store postcards! Some of th...

Glitter Tart Designs: March 2015
http://cmoh.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 25, 2015. This year to celebrate Easter I decided to take part in blissfullART'. S Easter Tin Swap. What I ended up with is one of the most major deviations from a plan I have ever done but I love how it ended up (despite numerous mistakes). You can't tell in the photo's but the tin background is shimmery gold over a textured light pink. Just look at that detail! I love how this turned out. The mold is a silicone mold-ornaments and settings. Dazzles gold swirls and flourishes stickers.

Glitter Tart Designs: February 2015

Saturday, February 14, 2015. Mini Victorian Kittens Needle Book. The minute Leslie from Alpha Stamps. Shared with us the theme for this months kit I knew exactly what I wanted to make (which is rare for me). My mini needle book measures approximately 3 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches. So yep, it's small. I really love the vintage look that I achieved. Another little pocket to hold some buttons made out of a printed out image. Have to have safety pins! The printed burlap lifts so you can have two layers of pins. Sew L...

Glitter Tart Designs: Mermaid Altered Tart Tin Trinket Box
http://cmoh.blogspot.com/2015/04/mermaid-altered-tart-tin-trinket-box.html
Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Mermaid Altered Tart Tin Trinket Box. Tart tins are so pretty. You can do practically anything with them and end up with a gorgeous piece. Because of this it is hard to think outside the box sometimes, but that is what I tried to do, use the shabby chic tins in a new way. Around her I added clear acrylic sprays. To create the blue spray I took 22 gauge wire and coated it with hot glue. While the glue was drying I mixed three different colors of micro beads - Aqua. Kathy @ Creati...
