Nicola Natland: March 2014
http://nicolanatland.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 6, 2014. What's on my workbench today. Finishing off a commissioned bangle and making another LUCKY STAR necklace. This piece is available in my Etsy. Wednesday, March 5, 2014. I have been busy working on some new ideas and a new direction with my jewelry. I am a strong believer in how positive affirmations can enhance our lives and decided to make some jewelry that would reflect that. I am busy working on several other affirmation pieces and will post more photos soon.

Nicola Natland: Eye, eye...
http://nicolanatland.blogspot.com/2015/02/eye-eye.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Ok I think that I must have set a personal record. No posts in months and then two in two days. The planets must be lined up just right. Anyway, I thought I would share what is on my workbench today. These are going to be made into brooches. Eyes, lots of eyes! When wearing this bracelet sound effects are optional - POW! This bracelet is made out of leather which I carved, stamped, dyed and painted. The eye is attached to the band with sterling silver rivets.

Nicola Natland: May 2012
http://nicolanatland.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 31, 2012. The ring of fire! Firstly, two posts in one week! I am even scaring myself! OK, the back story: I have been making jewelry for nearly 10 years and I am a fabricator, which means that I take metal sheet or wire, usually silver but sometimes copper and I do a number of things with it which can include sawing, hammering, soldering, texturing, etc, etc! If it is not a good day that might even include biting it - yes, that's what that texture is! It is like a party game for masochists!

Nicola Natland: June 2012
http://nicolanatland.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 22, 2012. I am seeing stars! This is what I cast this week - it was like holding a handful of pirate treasure. This photo was taken as I was starting to clean them up - I really could do with minions. I gave myself a disastrous manicure with the buffing machine! This weekend John will put up the second of the Berlin pendants from 17th and Riggs. We also took delivery of our ten new dining chairs. They are the Navy chairs. Anyway, I got a lot done and below are the fruits of my labour. Saturd...

STRAIGHT EDGE TILE: 2011
http://straightedgetile.blogspot.com/2011
Tuesday, June 28, 2011. This is the view when you first walk into the shower. It was kind of hard capturing this room with my camera. This is the wall that will have the sink and mirror on the outside of the shower. The insert boxes are opposite of this wall. The faucet and shower head are opposite of the rock wall. Here I got to blend the rock wall into the base tile that frames the main bathroom floor. Bathroom w/ Porcelain Floor Tile. Glass Mosaic Kitchen Backsplash. Photos by Amado Avecilla. I did th...

Monday, February 27, 2012. Happiness is Natalie Chanin's new book and a cup of tea. I was so excited to get my copy of Natalie Chanin's new book - Alabama Studio Sewing Design. In Laguna Beach. Bettinna has her studio in Venice where she hand throws her ceramics. You can see her work on her website - Beyond Blue Ceramics. I have to say it does make me very happy when I drink out of my mug. It is well worth checking out the Alabama Chanin. How great is that! It is my mission to try and make a least one pi...
