I fixed the crash referred to below in version 1.1.2 (on the Mac App Store today), which actually did affect Mavericks, too. There are no known Yosemite issues, now, so update and be merry! It looks like Yosemite (OS X 10.10) is around the corner. So I wanted to let Comickaze users know about one known issue with Yosemite. Stay posted to this blog and the Abbey Code. Comickaze updated, with more fixes. This release of Comickaze. Fixes a bunch more bugs, including some more crashers. But more importantly, it fixes a long-standing issue causing difficulty reading any files with non-Latin characters. In a nutshell, Comickaze is a handcrafted reader for DRM-free comics on Mac. It is Abbey Code’s first commercial product. Why make a comic reader for Mac? Well, as I began to amass a digital comics collection rivaling the size of my print collection, I knew I’d need a helping hand to organize that collection. I needed a tool that would allow me to keep my library tagged and organized with as little effort as possible. I was also excited to write an application on my Mac. Or read more about it here.
