Most people have an obsession; mine is knitting. Elizabeth Zimmermann, Knitting without Tears, 1971. I am based in the Hertfordshire countryside, well I can see a field and within walking distances of farms. I enjoy Hertfordshire and I enjoy walking around it. There are some nice bits which are old towns (not the new ones except Welwyn Garden City) and some nice picturesque villages. It is not well known for its peaks or mountainous regions (it is not that hilly). To view my Ravelry Patterns.

Most people have an obsession; mine is knitting. Elizabeth Zimmermann, Knitting without Tears, 1971. Have lots of old shirts or clothing that you cannot donate to a charity shop? Well, I have a solution: cut them up, knot them together and make a mat. I suggest you remove any zips or buttons first. This is a nice thrifty item for something that would end up in a landfill. Knit 1 Blog 1: A Life less ordinary
http://sockyarnshop.blogspot.com/2011/05/life-less-ordinary.html
Knit 1 Blog 1. Wednesday, 4 May 2011. A Life less ordinary. My most recent photo of Paul and I. What is reality, and who's to tell. The difference 'twixt that and thought's wild flight? The moon, that in the darken'd water dwells,. Is't that which danceth in the sky by night? And does the Unicorn exist? On this wide earth are Dragons to be found? I know in truth they do not linger here,. Yet still my heart can catch their distant sound. For what am I, if all the life I have. We were always inseparable an...

Not Just AstLinux Stuff. I created AstLinux but I write and rant about a lot of other things here. Mostly rants about SIP and the other various technologies I deal with on a daily basis. My Software Development Manifesto. I believe in Agile software development. There are many ways to structure a project and still call it Agile. Most importantly, there has to be short feedback cycles throughout the system and adaptation to that information. However, most projects will benefit from many technical principles that are typical of Extreme Programming. I believe in TDD. I believe in Continuous Integration. I believe in Pair Programming. I believe in Empowered Teams. Developers should not over-...

MVC experiment in JS. September 13, 2011. The past 3 years I’ve been using PureMVC pretty consistently in both my ActionScript and Objective-C projects. I’ve really enjoyed it’s workflow but when looking into the JavaScript port, was not interested in the dependencies required by the different JS ports (mootools, extjs or prototype). So, this weekend I spent some time in a local cafe here in Stockholm experimenting with creating a small MVC framework of my own in JavaScript. Total file size compressed an...
