The Political Nerd: April 2008
http://ncpoliticalnerd.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Rantings and ramblings of an over-taxed and under-represented political nerd from North Carolina. Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Because that's what mayors DO. So much for all that. What's got me so hot? Oh, did I mention that there are other gubernatorial candidates that also have jobs they should be doing? Gosh, do I even need to finish writing this post to let you know WHY I'm so angry about last night? In all honesty, I don’t entirely remember what Smith said because it was completely dwarfed by Bob ...

Rantings and ramblings of an over-taxed and under-represented political nerd from North Carolina. Friday, August 29, 2008. Pat McCrory comments on Sarah Palin. Pat McCrory apparently likes my pick for VP as well. He made the following statement today in regards to McCain's smart choice of Sarah Palin:. Can't say I didn't see a little bit of Pat McCrory's future in Sarah Palin's biography ;). Sarah Palin - John McCain's VP choice. I'm glad we finally have a Republican politician that listens to my advice.

The Political Nerd: New McCrory ad highlights major newspaper endorsements
http://ncpoliticalnerd.blogspot.com/2008/10/new-mccrory-ad-highlights-major.html
Rantings and ramblings of an over-taxed and under-represented political nerd from North Carolina. Friday, October 24, 2008. New McCrory ad highlights major newspaper endorsements. I saw this new ad for gubernatorial candidate Pat McCrory this morning while getting ready for work. Ironically, it aired right after one of Bev Perdue's negative ads which accuses McCrory of being a "danger" to North Carolina. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Political Nerd: education issues in the final debate
http://ncpoliticalnerd.blogspot.com/2008/10/education-issues-in-final-debate.html
Rantings and ramblings of an over-taxed and under-represented political nerd from North Carolina. Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Education issues in the final debate. I wasn't aware that the 4-day work week was an issue, but apparently it is, and Perdue is against it. She doesn't think it will work in NC, but she wants to do as much business as possible online. McCrory is also against it, but he wants to change the culture of arrogance where no one dares question the state government's decisions. Perdues a...

The Political Nerd: May 2008
http://ncpoliticalnerd.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Rantings and ramblings of an over-taxed and under-represented political nerd from North Carolina. Sunday, May 18, 2008. I have reason to believe that I have victories to taste. I'm back. Promise. I had to take a break there right after the primary. It's not that blogging is incredibly stressful, but politics was my life for that last week. I was literally scheduling time during my days to do post entries. It sort of took over. We took Guilford County, the county that I was focusing on, by almost 20%....

The Political Nerd: two weeks later...
http://ncpoliticalnerd.blogspot.com/2008/11/two-weeks-later.html
Rantings and ramblings of an over-taxed and under-represented political nerd from North Carolina. Sunday, November 16, 2008. My, but it has been a while. I'll go ahead and apologize in advance for any typos. I (ironically) broke my "W" key a couple of weeks ago, and while it still works, it takes some effort to use, and sometimes it gets skipped over. So how bout that election? There's no doubt that there was a lot of that going on during this election. Every polling place I went to had Obama workers...

The Political Nerd: Perdue's attack ads about garbage are... garbage.

Rantings and ramblings of an over-taxed and under-represented political nerd from North Carolina. Monday, October 27, 2008. Perdue's attack ads about garbage are. garbage. Well what do you know…. Bev Perdue has been running negative ads against Pat McCrory that accuse him of wanting to let New Jersey and New York dump their trash in North Carolina. Her reason for running this ad? You know, this isn’t even about the issue of allowing landfills in North Carolina. I personally think that such an i...That...

The Political Nerd: June 2008
http://ncpoliticalnerd.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Rantings and ramblings of an over-taxed and under-represented political nerd from North Carolina. Thursday, June 26, 2008. Now I'm REALLY sad that I missed it! Pat McCrory revs up crowd at Take Back Our State rally. Before speaking, McCrory played a drum set for about a minute while Dallas Woodhouse, N.C. director of the anti-tax group Americans for Prosperity, sang the song “We Will Rock You” by Queen. 8220;I got kicked out of ninth-grade band because I'm a bad drummer,” McCrory said afterward.
