Saturday, October 1, 2011. Camping with 4 Kids: The Highlights. So when my husband, my dear, sweet, loving husband asked me why we never go camping anymore I finished changing the babies diaper, yelled over the 2 boys who were squabbling and screaming underneath my feet and asked my teenager to finish his up his latest retort quickly so I could answer him. It's just so much work with 4 kids! Wait How the heck are we going to fit all of this. Hmmmm, guess we should have thought of that. Notice how sweet, ...

This prompted me to embrace each of my children's uniqueness and capture a photo of them that would show their personalities and not worry about getting "The perfect family photograph". Is there such a thing? Now when I see most posed and perfect family photos all I see are the smiles that I forced on my kids and the stress and aggravation hiding behind my own. View the entire collection. Remember to enjoy the moment.

Monday, August 30, 2010. Healthy After School Snack. Here is a super quick, very healthy recipe I've made several times that I wanted to share. They are great to pack in kids lunch boxes, for after school snacks instead of sugary cookies or even for a grab-and-go breakfast. They are loaded with protein, whole grains and a bit of fruit. Yum! Served with a glass of cold milk, they are a great after school snack. My teenager downs an apple or two along with several of these little PB balls. Millet is tasty,...

Sunday, September 25, 2011. Every Day Learning Opportunities. You don't have to be a home schooling mom to take the opportunity to teach your children new and fun things every day. You don't even need to buy lesson planners, organizers or work books. In fact, I've found that spur of the moment learning opportunities from things found around your home or neighborhood are often some of the best and most fun ways for kids to learn and grow. When the kids run out of food to cut out they have fun cutting out ...

Sunday, February 20, 2011. V-Day Fun with Chocolate Dipped Marshmellows and Home Made Valentine grams. Jim and I don't really 'celebrate' Valentines Day per say. I think it's a silly 'holliday'. Yup, I'm one of those. I did get a new wedding ring coincidentally to replace my original one that I accidentally threw out in my scrubs when on call a couple of years ago. In my defense, it was late at night, I was 12 weeks pregnant with Mona and sick. It's. Pretty, I love it! How cute are these little cards?

Monday, October 11, 2010. Picnic at Our Favorite Park. We like to mix things up a bit around here and try to find new parks to go play at. Luckily, there are plenty of parks in all the different neighborhoods in our area. We've been to this park a few times and the kids just love it. They call it the "Tree House Park". Because of the huge, 3 level play structure with a super cool lookout on top. Can you see my little monkeys way up there? Check out the cute bat tattoo. Hmmmm, should I do it? J " I don't ...
