Blog of the Blogs. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. Is talking about ASBO's at the moment, and in particular the case of one lad called Zak. Well, heres the problem. When the victims explain to people what is happening, it can easily sound like you are making a big deal out of it. They are dropping empty beer cans into your garden? Vomiting in the street? They are hanging around in large groups, being noisy and threatening? What do you mean you are frightened to go outside? They are only kids. Saturday, Nov...

Blog of the Blogs. Friday, January 20, 2006. The Law of Averages. The Special Constables Blog. Starts off its latest post with a mention from the Conservative police reform. I'll reproduce the quotes here:. Mr Cameron said there was little evidence that police performance had increased in line with increased resources, with each officer making less than 10 arrests on average every year. I read this a couple of times. And then read it again. Each officer making on average 10 arrests a year? In fact, thats...

Life in a customer support department (formally known as a police force). Saturday, November 18, 2006. Spent a night in hospital with Mrs Mackey yesterday, she was getting some chest pains so doctor sent her for an ECG but everything checks out ok which is good. Was a nice variety of people in the hospital though. The 80 year old who was brought in by his entire family (at least 8-9 people with him) who stand in front of the door blocking anyone else coming in. I prefer a quite weekend in ". Nearly 30 ye...

Blog of the Blogs. Thursday, April 27, 2006. The editor over at Cough the Lot. Recently put in a post complaining about the lack of action over a local drunk he has had to arrest a number of times recently. He comments on how this particular 'gentleman' has breached his bail conditions 15 times, and yet every time he is only released with the same conditions again. Please don't bring up the sensible reason of 'protecting the public', it'll only be swept under the carpet. Posted by A non mouse. 2"If we [t...

Freedom of Speech Won’t Feed my Children | The Secret Person

Smile at us, pay us, pass us; but do not quite forget; For we are the people of England, that never have spoken yet. May 27, 2010. Freedom of Speech Won’t Feed my Children. Funny I was just listening today to the Manic Street Preachers’ song entitled ‘Freedom of speech won’t feed my children’ and thinking, yeah, it’s probably not number one priority if you’re starving in Africa, but countries with freedom of speech tend to do better at feeding people too. Well said, and well selected Englishman. I’...

Not what you are thinking where we get a bonus for not going sick. It's our policy soon that we could be attending 100% of calls into the police. I see trouble ahead.

Lib Dem Collapse – Union not PR could be issue | The Secret Person
https://secretperson.wordpress.com/2010/05/07/lib-dem-collapse-union-not-pr-could-be-issue
Smile at us, pay us, pass us; but do not quite forget; For we are the people of England, that never have spoken yet. May 7, 2010. Lib Dem Collapse – Union not PR could be issue. I previously predicted PR would be the major issue given the Lib Dem gains and a possible hung parliament. But now it looks like the differences between England, Scotland and Wales could be vastly different, in particular between a Tory-free Scotland and the rest. Could UK national tension be the big story? On May 7, 2010. You ar...
