Gigs, dance, art. May 13th, 2011: Anmitsu. I know that the acoustics are sub-par, but I’m glad I didn’t let that keep me away from this gig. I’ve had mixed feelings about the recent Tsugaru Shamisen hype, mostly because I don’t like Yoshida Brothers all that much. It’s OK sound-wise, but kinda bland in my opinion. Anmitsu. Are the real thing and the perfect antidote to that. June 13, 2011. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. There a...

Gigs, dance, art. September 12th, 2012: Sébastien Ramirez / Honji Wang – Monchichi. Now that’s what I want to see. A wonderful show, where for a change even the words didn’t disturb me, because they were just adding to what the dance had made clear by then. To me they went beyond that, they grew from them, and isn’t that what roots are for? September 26, 2012. 2 Comments ». I would like to know aout the music of Monchichi. thanks. April 20, 2013 Reply. Music from the World of the Strange and the Bizarre: New Image (or "Bob Purse Created a Monster")
http://strangebiz.blogspot.com/2016/12/new-image-or-bob-purse-created-monster.html
Thursday, December 15, 2016. New Image (or "Bob Purse Created a Monster"). A big "Thank you! To Bob Purse, of "The Wonderful and the Obscure". He gave me his blessings to put up the 2015-and-earlier mp3's I downloaded from his blog when it had them, on this. So these next couple of posts will have all the mp3's I have that I downloaded from "The Wonderful and the Obscure" blog before. The DivShare problem happened. Mind you, it's only a miniscule amount. And "What the.", indeed. I'm very. 65279;I was so ...

The World's Worst Records: Sausages
http://worldsworstrecords.blogspot.com/2012/02/sausages.html
The World's Worst Records. An arcade of audio atrocities. Friday, 3 February 2012. I am, again, indebted to Mick Dillingham. For bringing the following 45 to my attention. For some strange reason this little nugget completely passed me by when it was first released – probably because I was spending just about every penny I had at the time on solo Beatles. Records…what a waste! Talented pets were That’s Life. Famously portrayed as “a camp old twat” by Griff Rhys-Jones. Sketch) around the set. Would manipu...

The World's Worst Records: Hamsters for Jesus
http://worldsworstrecords.blogspot.com/2011/05/hamsters-for-jesus.html
The World's Worst Records. An arcade of audio atrocities. Tuesday, 31 May 2011. Alvin and the Chipmunks. Or Pinky and Perky if you prefer) have got a lot to answer for. Charlie the Hamster. Along with his cousins Stanley and Huey, made a series of God bothering albums along with their human handler Floyd Robinson. The singing evangelistic dolly 'recorded' more christian crap than these critters. And the novel The Guit. Ar Nowadays Floyd has all but turned his back on music: he owns a used car dealership.

The World's Worst Records: The Partridge Calamity
http://worldsworstrecords.blogspot.com/2013/11/the-partridge-calamity.html
The World's Worst Records. An arcade of audio atrocities. Saturday, 16 November 2013. If you feel the need to blame anyone for today’s monstrosity, don’t blame me: blame TheSquire Presents. The song sounded to me as if it were being performed by Ike Broflovsky. Kyle’s adopted Canadian brother (if you don’t watch South Park. You’ll not understand that reference). It was hideous. Needless to say, I had to track down a copy of little Ricky’s one and only album. And I’m so glad that I did. All of the songs o...

The World's Worst Records. An arcade of audio atrocities. Sunday, 22 July 2012. Morning everyone. Just a brief note to let you know that I've repaired a couple of iffy downloads. The link to Mother. By Barbra Streisand in this week's post wasn't working for some people but should be now. Also, thanks to Robin at the wonderful Lord of the Boot Sale. By Equipe 84 is now the full-length version, not the oddly truncated one I had previously posted. David V. Matthews. 26 July 2012 at 23:50. Captain Sensible ,...

The World's Worst Records: the Unique Leona Anderson

The World's Worst Records. An arcade of audio atrocities. Monday, 24 March 2008. The Unique Leona Anderson. Wherever collectors of bad record gather, the late, lamented Leona Anderson. Will always be celebrated for her aptly-titled 1957 album, Music to Suffer By. From the same school as Mrs Miller, Florence Foster Jenkins. And Mme St Onge. Anderson reveled in the limitations of her voice: according to the excellent Space Age Pop web site (. Http:/ www.blogger.com/www.spaceagepop.com. A 78 rpm released by...
