Box of Yarn: How I spent my summer vacation
http://boxofyarn.blogspot.com/2005/07/how-i-spent-my-summer-vacation.html
My little world of knitting, crocheting, and sewing craziness. Tuesday, July 19, 2005. How I spent my summer vacation. Or what passed for vacation, anyway. The needle cases are done. They are so out of here. I ended up with about half of them that I felt were craft fair worthy, the rest I am keeping, giving away, or selling at low, low 'factory seconds' prices. I am really glad to see the end of this project. This is the asymmetrical baby sweater, extra asymmetrical! Finally, one more star blanket. T...
Box of Yarn: March 2005
http://boxofyarn.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html
My little world of knitting, crocheting, and sewing craziness. Wednesday, March 30, 2005. I'm forever sewing sprinkles. Ok, not really, but it's a title. Shut up. So yesterday I wanted a fast, easy project. Behold, the cupcake pincushion. Cute and fast, kind of pointless, but I learned all about front and back post crocheting. I think I felt my brain grow a little bit, even. Posted by Random Nicole. Tuesday, March 29, 2005. Baby, you're a star. A star shaped baby afghan. Posted by Random Nicole. One and ...
Box of Yarn: At least I finished it
http://boxofyarn.blogspot.com/2005/07/at-least-i-finished-it_22.html
My little world of knitting, crocheting, and sewing craziness. Friday, July 22, 2005. At least I finished it. The asymmetrical baby sweater. In doll size. I hope the Bitty Baby likes it, because I'm not so very fond. Also, buttonholes are evil and to be avoided at all cost. Yuck. This looks a little off, but I didn't block it or anything yet. Still plugging away on the star blankets, need to start a Lucy bag. Today, and got caught up in the Herrschner's yarn sale. Yesterday (but only a little).

The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter: June 2005
http://pseudoknits.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter. Saturday, June 25, 2005. Here's a picture of the whole sweater. Not only is it done, but it fits! I made a completely wearable sweater for myself. Yay me! Posted by Wendy Nelson @ 10:55 AM. Links to this post. It's done, it's done, it's done it's done it's done! The Wool-Ease Chunky sweater from the Yarn Girls book (Funky Rollneck Fun) is done. Just in time for that chilly July weather! Posted by Wendy Nelson @ 10:54 AM. Links to this post. Wednesday, June 15, 2005.
The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter: November 2005
http://pseudoknits.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter. Friday, November 18, 2005. Dash's obsession with the Kitty Pi. ShhhI'm making Kitty Pi cat beds for Christmas presents. The first one is done, in Sierra by KnitPicks. My kitten Dash has been obsessed with it from the moment I cast it on. It's as if he knew it was for him (or at least for cats.). He couldn't wait until it was even cast off to try it out. He wouldn't let me take a picture of it before it was felted. Jeez, mom, can I finally sleep in it? Links to this post.

The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter. Wednesday, August 17, 2005. A big order from KnitPicks just arrived. This represents my next several projects. The yarn looks/feels great, especially the 100% Alpaca Andean Treasure. My first sportweight yarn- eek! The bulky yarn is Sierra, and the striped yarn is Parade. All very nice, cheap (everything you see here was $65) and quick shipping. Posted by Wendy Nelson @ 1:24 PM. Links to this post. Monday, August 15, 2005. Look, Mommy, it spins! Links to this post.

The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter. Friday, April 08, 2005. What else am I working on? I have this oh-so long-term project going on. A plain funnel-neck sweater for me, in a nice fern green color. It is taking forever. I have the front and back and a third of a sleeve done. I'll be able to wear it by next winter, maybe. I have another Booga bag on deck for my mom plus one of these in green/blue shades: http:/ www.fuzzygalore.biz/patterns/fuzzyknit.shtml. What has come over me? Links to this post. This is...
The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter: December 2005
http://pseudoknits.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter. Friday, December 30, 2005. Less angry at knitting. I think I have fixed the run in the shawl. There is still one small mistake but you'd have to be a knitting guru to spot it. So I feel better about that. Mitten top: still grrrr. On a happier note, here are some pics of the final push to finish the kitty beds. My able assistants demonstrate the size of a pre-felted kitty pi:. I added a yard of coordinating fleece in each one. The cats love this! Links to this post.
The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter: May 2005
http://pseudoknits.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter. Wednesday, May 04, 2005. I made this in January. It's a knitted picture frame. Yeah, sometimes we all get carried away. I knitted the frame (pattern here. And glued it to one of those magnetic picture frames they sell at the checkout of Michael's, etc. The whole project cost, maybe, at most $1.50. My grandma proudly displays the oddball thing on her fridge! Interestingly, the original pattern calls for dog yarn! Gross if you ask me. Posted by Wendy Nelson @ 4:33 PM.

The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter. Saturday, March 11, 2006. I really like this! I made this bag for a charity auction but I so want to keep it! Is free from KnitPicks and the yarn is Cascade 128. The bag has a black canvas lining (a pre-fab canvas tote turned inside out and sewn inside, ingenious! And a magnetic closure. Posted by Wendy Nelson @ 7:01 PM. Links to this post. The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter. Friday, February 03, 2006. Noodle in her sweater! Good Lord, this dog is cute. She looks much better in the sweater than Dash. I particularly like the way the cream color looks against her dark red fur. Posted by Wendy Nelson @ 5:43 PM. Links to this post. Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States. The Ballad of the Unlikely Crafter. Saturday, January 21, 2006. There is a certain mini-dachshund. By the name of Noodle, who lives with my cousin Kelly not too far from Times Square in NYC, and who will be the fashion plate of canine fashion plates by next week. The other dogs at the dog park will be so jealous. Unfortunately, I do not have a mini-dachshund myself, so I was forced to settle for a local model in order to show you the sweater I made. The wool is Cascade Bulky (loved it! Links to this post.

Lauren Tolbert Miller Photography. Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Well, like many of you, I'm tired of facebook! It's so political. It's becoming outdated. The algorithm they have in place now really limits what we see (and that's unfortunate.) I don't think people are nice to one another and I think that is a HUGE part of our country's issue. I need to clean up my wordpress. More quality, less quantity! I think that I may begin posting here as opposed to facebook. Let me know what you think!
