swan stuff: June 2014

http://idahoswans.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

That place is majestic. Seriously wild and amazingly fresh. If you haven't been, you must go. This month we camped in Stanley with some new friends and woke up at 3am to run a 60 mile race over Galena Pass to Hailey, Idaho. Each person runs approximately 10 miles total. I can't believe I'm saying this. but it was fun! But I should have known. I mean, pretty much anything with my husband is fun. He makes doing the dishes a party and ripping out 128 rosebushes an exciting challenge. Halfway up the summit.

Homeschool day at Linder Farms was rockin' because nobody wants to pay more when they can pay less. : ) That's why we went, anyway. And who doesn't like beautiful blue skies, getting lost with sweet friends and family, or rides behind tractors? This cousin makes any event worth attending for Trevor. Ice cream cones come in better flavors. This girl is awe some. Period. He is SO much like his mom in some ways. I love it. Where should we go next? I love his decisiveness. : ). http://idahoswans.blogspot.com/2015/05/beach-time-and-la-jolla.html

Beach time and La Jolla. Trevor's enthusiasm for the water exceeds his ability to stay warm- even in a wetsuit. So we needed to bury him in the sand and warm him up a couple of times. There still might be some chattering going on here. Joel doesn't even need to get in the water to be cold. even with a wetsuit. No matter. we still had fun digging and burying things. Joel the mermaid. : ) Can't you just hear him laughing? View from La Jolla Shores Hotel. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I haven't blogge...

Abracadabra.POOF - Zip Line! Scott woke up one day and decided to put his ideas into action. He built an awesome zip line and pretty much cemented his title for Coolest Dad Ever. Working on it together was pretty fun. Trevor helped with the drill on the platform. His smile was uncontainable. I shall not forget it! Sadly, our neighbors are moving, but they got to come check it out before they left. The auger from Home Depot helped, too. I just LOVE those knobby knees pitchin' in! So, here it is in action.

swan stuff: January 2015

http://idahoswans.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

The boys just HAD to have birthdays this year. I told them if they do, then one thing will lead to another and then one day "BOOM" they're out of the house and off to college or something. They still wanted to be older. Trevor's Snowboarding/Minion Cake. He's kind of a big fan of my cakes. They are one-of-a-kind and they won't get any awards, but Trevor loved it. : ). There was some playing outside. There was some circus riding. I don't know why. Some good crash and rolls. There was no injury this day.

http://idahoswans.blogspot.com/2015/05/san-diego-rest.html

San Diego- the rest. We spent mother's day at Sea World. There were no lines and you get to see some awesome animals up close. The rollercoasters are also pretty awesome. Trevor tried to win those huge stuffed animals by climbing the ladder and ringing the bell. Joel watches the beluga whale. We bought shovels for the boys to play with and they spent a lot of time shoveling sand into the ocean. I don't get that game, but Joel did : ). It's like we had the place reserved for ourselves. San Diego- the rest.

The funniest Dr. Seuss poem- read by Trevor. Last night the boys got time with the headlamps to read whatever they like. Joel normally just looks at the pictures, but when he became bored of that, he asked Trevor to read to him. Trevor gladly obliged. Here is one of the stories he read. Did I ever tell you that Mrs. McCave. Had twenty-three sons and she named them all Dave? Well, she did. And that wasn't a smart thing to do. You see, when she wants one and calls out, "Yoo-Hoo! Come into the house, Dave!

swan stuff: September 2014

http://idahoswans.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

20 Year class reunion. We spent a weekend in McCall for Scott's 20 year class reunion. Class reunions are stereotypically a "come and show-off" kind of an event, but it's not really like that for a small, tight knit class like Scott's. It was actually fun. There are some classmates that were in his same Kindergarten class! Lots of them know each other's parents and it was such a nice and laid back weekend with loose plans. Then we spent a day at Roaring Springs with Scott's classmates and their families.

Brad and Anette's Grand Tour. Welcome to our travel log! Check back once in a while to see what we've been up to. (You can leave us messages, too! May 24, 2009. Blog Lawblah

Tuesday, December 28, 2010. We should have never left the island. Posted by The Davies. Sunday, November 2, 2008. November is my favorite and my best. Does anyone else love "Charlie and Lola" like we do? They call their cookies, biscuits and eat cucumber sandwiches. Who knows if that is actually what British people do but gosh is. That's so painfully American of me to say right? Don't take MY word for it! Posted by The Davies. Wednesday, October 22, 2008. A Little Irreverent Yes. Song to get it out.

Monday, June 14, 2010. We were able to celebrate Jason's birthday just in time. Brad just left for an internship at Carnegie Mellon University that will last one month. We will miss him, but are glad that he has such a good opportunity to do some work in Pittsburgh. Me and Jason get to spend some time with family including my sister that I haven't seen in over two years! In this picture Jason was building a cone tower on top of his soccer ball, so he could kick the ball and his tower would fall over.
