Nevertheless, Wikipedia has an excellent page on them here. I knew I may be going through the area, so I looked up the infamous Highway 154. The marker at the site of the ambush. I'm a Kentucky-born, Chicago-based, WGA screenwriter who has written four produced feature films for Universal, Paramount, and independent producers. As an award-winning director, my work has been featured in film festivals across the United States and around the world. Having taught at the University of Southern California and SUNY Oswego, I am now an Assistant Professor of screenwriting at DePaul University's School of Cinematic Arts in Chicago.
